For a few years I’ve tried to like this brand and I just can’t.

honestly I'ma HUGE RM fan and they haven't made a watch I really love in like two years since the company was passed to RM and DG's kids. The 07-04 is probably the closest to the old RM but even that is a little softer. Last thing I really liked was the RM65 and that's just a couple existing bits slapped together with the extra barrel windy-bit; even the 35-03 is boring compared to the other ones imho and the butterfly rotor isn't all that innovative when it's essentially a user-activated version of the adjustable rotors they've used for years.

If you really want to get into RM, look into their early watches before the ridiculous hype train and you'll see what makes them cool even if the aesthetics aren't for you.

There was a youtube vid I watched where I believe it was HQ of chrono24 and the guy doing the video said something similar and he was given the advice, 'just get one and keep on staring at it. Keep on staring. Eventually you will love it.'

Those early tourbs like the 001, 003, 009, etc are some of the best deals out there if you can find them. I also love knowing that someone out there has the 1/18 prototype RM001 that Richard Mille chucked on the floor at Baselworld because they sold every single one including his personal prototype. If I could have one single watch forever it'd probably be an RM003, an RM008 or that RM009 Felipe Massa tourbillon. Everything up to at least the RM12 was straight flames imho.

Not sure about the length, just got M size from my local watch shop. It cost me 500usd in new condition.
I’m attaching it to my T+ RM35-02 now and BBR RM055 v1 before.
The texture is really nice, recommend you to get one

I ordered the same spec, no gen strap though I’ll probably go with the wisentex one. Where did you source the screwdriver?

Actually I have ordered velcro strap from Wisentex before and he gave me one screwdriver at that time. You can ask him if he’s still offering it for free or not.

I checked chat history with Wisentex and he charged me 25 bucks for a screwdriver. It wasn’t free

That is awesome! Didn't know Gen Strap insert will work with Reps as well, were there any modification or change of parts needed to make it fit or do you have any observation from the fit onto the case for the strap on T+ or BBR ?

The gen strap fits both T+ 35-02 & BBR 055 smoothly, didn’t need any additional adjustment. Hope it will fit this new ZF 055 as well.

That is really great to hear man, been looking for strap alternatives and options. If Gen fits all of them that would be great! Visually do you think the insert for gen and rep strap has any differences ?

I don't see any difference between the inserts. The two small holes in the gen and rep inserts are in the same position, so they are interchangeable.
However, when turning in the 4-prongs screws, the holes in the case and the holes in the Insert must overlap. Otherwise, the screws may break in the middle.

Yeah the 001 is my literally-take-it-over-anything-else-ever item, but since the chance of one appearing for sale at all is practically nil, I'll settle for an 002 V2 when I have 500K of fun money
