Have they corrected the wrong date font I wonder. If you buy ask for no. 3 to be displayed. Should flat topped but some photos show rounded!

Okay, this is really strange. On the official IWC homepage there is no "1 out of 1000" on the case back. When I looked at some BP PP on chrone24 though there are used ones who have that engraving and indeed say 1 out of 1000....

Btw why does the ZF 5009 have no number 9 ? The new IWC 5009 has that 9 back again. This is somewhat inconsistent...Is is rather a 5004 now?!

Another thing I just noticed when comparing them side by side. The ZF Big Pilot 5009 has the same thick numbers like the recent IWC 5009. It should be more similar to the 5004 though as it has no 9... Some quite easy tells . The recent gen 5009 has a different case back as well.

Yes it is truly new Petit Prince Big Pilot. The series One of 1000 is discontinued and all watches been sold out worldwide. The IWC is not planning to re-lanuch LPP BP 5009 any soon.
Information recieved from the first hand from sales woman from IWC butique located in Dubai Mall.

Seems unlikely that ZF will fix the dw font this close to LNY holiday. Maybe after the holiday but I'm honestly skeptical that they'll fix it at all. The "6" and "9" are different too on the LPP BP in that they have shorter tails.
I don't really mind these font flaws actually. It's too beautiful to pass on because of that small oversight.

So... This replica is accurate for reference 500901. The new 2016 version is reference 500912 and it has the 9 hour marker. No problem for me....

I think I like the new design with the 9 mark a little more. Especially for the Petit Prince version the numbers look much nicer imho.

Good thing I ordered the normal 5009-01 (apparently).

Can't wait to get it.
