It is like per gen: the order is: case back, radial spring, soft metal cap => all these put constant pressure onto movement against bezel. And yes, the cap is securing the movement without impeding the rotor. There is almost no play of movement inside the case. In fact - no tabs needed.

Has anyone received QC for the LPP?

No, as the watch has not been released yet and probably won't be until Monday according to an AD that tells the truth. Even one AD seller who told me that the watch is in stock and I will receive qc pics in 3 days has now recanted his fibs. Again, I will be surprised if anything gets shipped out before CNY. I think those members who are waiting till after CNY are prudent. I have a another watch mailed this past Monday by EMS and it has gone nowhere since mailing.

How significant was the impact to the auto-wind? I read somewhere in this thread that the PR was close to 4 days so I'm wondering if that should end up being longer. Thanks.

the insufficient autowind issue solved! I let myself to use Angus' photos to show what the problem is. The rotor seems to catch the soft metal cap.

After several days of wearing I could observe small circle on internal side of soft metal cap - the sign the screw on the rotor was scratching while trying to rotate. I just took some sanding paper and sanded some microns off the internal surface of the cap. Now it autowinds like a boss :)

Power reserve is one thing (approximately 4 days) while problems with auto winding is another one.

How significant impact? The watch could not auto wind itself to the full during normal user activity except maybe long intensive walk. Now it auto winds itself without problems even with lazy user ;)

The ZF 5009-01 is sure one of the super-rep in 2016 IMO. Some forum mates maybe interested in the comparison of dial/datedisc/crown

  1. The red color of 1 day is darker in ZF.
  2. The inner circles of the PR subdial does exist. But it doesn't have strong sunburst in GEN dial.
  3. The background of datedisc is black. It looks a little bit grey in ZF
  4. The location of "SWISS MADE" is a bit closer to the hour/minute marker in ZF
  5. The markings in GEN diamond crown is deeper. The difference can be easily noticed when you wind the watch.

Got it. Thank you for clarifying.

I received mine last week and so far so good in terms of the autowind and PR. was trying to get a sense of whether or not I needed to open her up. Have to say, very impressed with the effort from ZF on this - especially the QC.

Also can anyone recommend a dealer for the 5009-01? Puretime seems like it's a lot more expensive than Intime, but is it the same product? Anyone cheaper with a good experience
