Yours looks very good. Usually the "low tier" reps of this have a non functioning moonphase (it's a day/night cycle). The calender cut out and fonts are also usually dead giveaways.

I thought it was MXF for a second, but I also know MXF has the same "pusher" on the lug side like ZF.

Yeah the moonphase is definitely not a day/night indicator. It’s literally just CCW instead of CW

I'm not knowledgeable enough to speak any further, but maybe ZF made a version of this, but ran out of the movement used in the one I have, and just threw in another movement.

Maybe. I’m looking at websites for TD’s and the pictures for this watch doesn’t have the moonphase pusher at the lugs.

Maybe you got a older version while I got a newer version and they "stealth updated" it.

yup. that's what i've been heard for about a month of sourcing zf 56 cc. So there's no choice but to choose one from mxf.

Main difference to ZF release is the back. I think MX here beats ZF.

1. The decorated plate is different and in my opinion looks closer to gen (still just non moving plated gears of course)
2. The rotor is rose gold instead of yellow gold
3. Also the handstack here is better than ZF. The date hand is “hidden” just like gen. The date hand goes underneath the hour hand stack in a smaller ring; so it looks like it disappears. Unlike ZF where the date hand is attached on a large outer ring. Check gen pics to see what I mean.
4. Crown is bigger than ZF. Which I think looks closer to gen. ZF crown is bit too small.

Overall I like this a lot. In my opinion the best Vacheron Constantin rep yet.

Thanks @Horace_Derwent, I asked around and apparently even MXF doesn’t make this anymore. Seems like there is a potential option in the GR Factory but I haven’t heard much about it. Anyone have any insight into that version?

Nvm, found a couple posts about the GR version in the self-winding thread, it looks bad so guess we’re out of luck with this one unless ZF decides to rerelease at some point!
