Personally, I feel that XF bracelet is perfectly fine.

I've got a ZF 15500 and I don't think there is any notable difference. But really, only you can decide. I've been daily wearing my 15202 for 3 months now and it looks as good as it did when it was brand new. The only thing that might be nice to do would be sand down the edges a little that touch your wrist as they can be sharp, but I feel that is probably just part of the bracelet design.

I have a Gen 15202 on order at the moment... so I'll eventually be able to compare like for like "soon".

It is very comfortable. No doubt about that. It may be too light, especially the clasp. But it doesn't bother me that much. If the ZF bracelet won't fit or won't improve that feeling, then it's all good as well :)

that was a bit the feeling with the bracelet of the 5402 and also "pre 2012" 15202, but as far as I remember the previews version was more comfortable than actual....just less shinny/beveled and felt weaker. Worst after re-polishing the older version was loosing its sharp edges...

Congrats on that buddy! That’s gonna be great for you. Do you mind telling how the AP system works? I mean how did you get in line to get it. And how long was the wait.

if you are really patient (or well introduced or well known or a good client that will speed up) then you can get your name on a list and after a long period of time you'll be called and asked to pay the total amount, and then 2 months later you'll get your beauty....

if I can talk for my personal case of this watch which I bought two years ago, I think when you're in love with such a watch, you can get it right away on CH24 instead of waiting three or more years (depending on your location/boutique of course). Of course you 'll pay a different price but you'll get it immediately instead of waiting years and finally paying it the price you would have paid on the grey market....
In my case, 3 years ago you would have paid 23K euros it is now 27K euros at the boutique..... three years ago I paid 27k if I remember well on ch 24 ....
Today it is 40k euros at least on ch24 for a mk3.

Keep in mind that next year (MY 22), it will be the 50 anniversary of the Jumbo ..... and a special communication on it may also boost the second hand price and the demand ...

hope I helped you in your demand....
cheers,
E.

I've been interested in this model for a long time, I had hopes in ZF, but the failure of the needle shaft marks me a lot, I will wait for XF V3 or ZF v2, which do you think has more numbers to be better?

I don't think anyone knows for sure, its best to wait for the reviews and comparisons between XF and ZF 15202 variants.

Interesting buddy. They don't have AP in our country, but i am a "good client" in the local Bucherer store. Maybe they can put me in contact with the German Bucherer, which has AP. I don't know though if it's at all possible and also not how long the waiting will be. Probably long.

You made a good deal buddy, 3 years ago they were not much lower than retail, now there's a huge difference. Regardless of the waiting time it makes sense to go the AD way now, because the difference is so big.

You are right, the prices will go up, but i don't see the retail make such huge jumps relative to the secondary market prices.

unfortunately I won't be of a big help here Sir, as I have no idea how it works when you aren't directly in touch with a boutique.
I am also wondering if Bucherer is having these models as, as far as I know (at least in my country) these are AP boutique only.
you're right today the leap is significantly higher and it is worth thinking between the grey or the boutique option. Moreover, you should also keep in mind that with the grey you're missing the magic of entering the boutique to pick it up, which somehow might also be part of your pleasure, but seeing your watches, I think you already now this ...

As far as i remember Bucherer lost the permission to sell AP in many of their stores long time ago. I remember the time when AP used to buy the watches back and Bucherer was up to give reasonable discounts straight away... That was end of 2017 and 2018 if i remember correctly.

The big "problem" with ADs is that AP won't notice you as a customer - only AD does which results only in a good relationship between you and him - but not towards the brand itself.

The logical consequence is that AP won't offer you the opportunity to get one of these highly sought watches.

The fact that AP returned almost every watch from ADs to focus on their boutiques only doesn't help to gain access or to build up a reasonable portfolio to signal that you are more than just a grey market flipper which is the case with most "waiting lists"... You can speak more of a "focus group" rather than a real chronological waiting list when it comes to watches like this. Patek is also a perfect example for this. You as a Patek owner yourself are familiar with the brands identity and its way to behave - even though your vintage beauty didn't come from the Boutique directly. :)

Legend knows how the AP game works - he is much more experienced in this manner and you know... a legend on his own haha
