If a $50 shitter had that movement, I'd buy it.Hah that's worse than a $50 shitter

I know. But I'd love to buy 10 of these at $50 to use the movements as donors.Chill.. you know what i mean that case is a joke

I agree mate. I think that Rolex were just going for change for the sake of change. Problem is that for the last 10 years, there have been a whole bunch of homage / shitter brands which have made their own ‘versions’ of the Daytona, with subtle differences, and the new Daytona design inadvertently looks a lot like many of these homages.I would much prefer the old dial in the new case than the new dial in the old case.
In fact, I would do that in a heartbeat if the new case and dial weren't so much bigger. I don't care for the new skinny markers or subdial rings. Especially on the white dial, there is just way too much empty space. The silver subdial rings on the black dial make them look adequately more substantial.
The white lines in the next pic are exactly the same length so it's easy to see how much bigger the new dial is.
Making all the cases the same shape and style was a good move IMO. I never cared for the right side lugs being slimmer, or the SELs protruding from the lugs on some models. But I think Rolex went too big on these cases, a smaller increase would have been better.
I have the V3 Sugess. I love that watch...apart for their corny logo, the build and finish is great.
Think this is where r factory took their inspiration from
Peacock SL 4801 is a 4130 clone from a reputable movement factory. So like Seagull, the movements would be made in a clean environment, oiled and regulated properly, etc.It doesn't look bad at all. Not that I would ever buy one. Curious about the movement.
About the Sugess, I am also contemplating turning it into a rep with a dial crown and clasp...but then I also like it that it's not a Rolex logo. If I can find a nice 7750 Daytona style panda dial without the Rolex logo, I would probably swap it. But it's a tall order as the Sugess dial is really good, apart from the Sugess logo print and font.Peacock SL 4801 is a 4130 clone from a reputable movement factory. Those Sugess models are 39mm, like the Rolex 116x. Wonder if they would take a 4130 dial, haha. Add a rep crown and clasp, sand the rehaut and woohoo!
That's a nice homage

It's an interesting project - it's like making a Rolex Sub with a Ginault. People have done that a few times. I put one together for a member a few years ago.About the Sugess, I am also contemplating turning it into a rep with a dial crown and clasp...but then I also like it that it's not a Rolex logo. Dial text can be carefully rubbed off with wax. I removed some BLAKEN text from a dial as I dislike 3rd party vendor names on my fake Rolexes haha. Then maybe find a sticker logo like Ali Express has or some other physical (applied) logo. These are easily glued on.
