I see what everyone is saying. I just have to throw this out there, just to provide an alternate opinion; someone mentioned something about the ZF sub…this my ZF sub, I actually sold my VSFs because I found almost everything about it except the movement out of box better than VSF. I also stacked up the green insert to my friends genuine Starbucks. It matched it 99% in almost all light environments. The VSF was in there too and it was easily noticeable that it was not the genuine. You had to look more than twice for the ZF.
You guys are asking, what the heck does that have to do with the Daytona. Well, I just wanted to share that my experience with ZF products have been excellent. Just giving credit to where it’s due IMO. From the pictures I’ve received and compared with genuine pictures, ratio adjusted, IMO it would be hard to tell on the wrist unless you have a genuine next to it. Now that may be a stretch but just providing an alternate opinion. I’ve never handled or seen a real 126500, I would need to do that in person, as I have done with the Starbucks to really see and be confident.
The left is a picture from a genuine compared to a standard iPhone photo (default ratio) I received of the ZF 125600 Daytona, adjusted and compared/layered against each other. I’m not necessarily disagreeing with most of the opinions on this thread, I personally just have to see it in person to actually know. But thought I would share my findings.
It seems that the ratio is a little off, the ZF dial seems a tad bigger than the gen. If this is so, then it would naturally compensate the slightly thicker subdials visually. On the wrist/or rather looking at someone’s wrist, it would be hard to be 100% sure that it’s too fat as opposed to changing visual angles/perception.
Like other gens, you would have to own both to actually know on an intuitive basis without any doubt that it’s not genuine, despite the best iteration. I have a genuine blue seamaster as well as every replica (or at least I did, got rid of them once my comparison was over). I alternate between that and the best version I have, and I can tell you in real life, someone who does this can easily tell just from personal use. Your eyes just get so used to the subtle differences that once you see it, you can’t unsee it. This being said, if you have the gen and don’t own the replica, you wouldn’t have a clue with the best version, let alone someone who doesn’t have either, IMO. I think as long as you’re comfortable with the rep and it makes you happy, that will speak louder than someone who has the best rep who is constantly worried about being called out, visually anyway.
