Here they are saying that guy is wrong timmic as it dosent weigh enough

I am now even more sure it is steel. I know all those guys very well including the guy who made the original article. I am a mod on that forum and have been for many years. Rolex are master of confused info. It goes right back to the "Yellow metal " jubilee bracelets, which failed hallmarking due to very variable alloy content, so they had to stop calling the metal gold.
If it was solid PT950 the whole thing would weigh closer to 20 gms

Yes have been for years Jocke is a motor engineer and a very big watch collector. He is also a great watch photographer and a super nice guy. I don't use the same forum name for obvious reasons. gen collectors ( Except for me it seems ) hate reps.

I have to say it would be very unlikely that Rolex would change it . There is no commercial reason and Rolex are not known for their altruism.

Please don't get the JF ym only the dial is worthy
The sa 3135 ym on here is super rare bro your correct only a couple guys got one .everyone else got the 2824 version

Hahah yeah based on your comments I actually concluded that the JF is generally crap (except for the blue dial and the bracelet?). Honestly don't give a crap about the weight as I don't care if people find out it's a rep.

Well anyways the noob 2428 is easier to get and if fitting a JF sa dial requires clipping the feet and nothing else, I'm confident... that my watchsmith can handle it lol. I just hope it doesnt require modding the datewheel.

Yeah I saw that. If only reps could make it through this hellhole's customs I would've jumped on it. Damn...

Why did you sell if you don't mind me asking

I just bought to check the quality and see what the hype is about. I was always gonna sell it as I wear my gen batman/bluesey day to day. The overall look and feel was still very much "rep"
