Hi guys, i don’t usually post qc pics in the forum, but im a bit concerned about the date alignment on this one. It looks a bit inconsistent to me, some look great and some look on different sides.. please share your thoughts with me.

The screws are too close to the edge, ever so slightly, but it’s enough to call out. This is my next purchase if they can fix that.
Are you sure? I am happy with mine ... maybe I was lucky ;-)

it is obvious bezels screw are too close to the edge

so now this REP will be perfect with

a smaller pinion

finer hands

and a bezel update with better bezel screws

However mine is just like the gen shown in this photo. My screws are not positioned like this rep sample shown in the comparison.
Curious how the gen used for comparison has the different light between hands and indexes just like XF :)

Where I need to be.
It's simply beautiful and indistinguishable to a naked eye from the gen..

The makers are not always honest when doing “rep vs gen” photos and very often, it’s a “rep vs rep” photo to mislead members. In the above pic, the dial on the gen was very likely replaced with an xf dial. The hand stack on the gen is more refined and of course, you can see the differences in the bezel screw positions. This created the impression that the watch on the right was 100% but I do have my doubt looking at it.

On my opinion if we think at the price difference is a is a stunning watch!

My watchsmith did a service to a gen perpetual 25820 and he gave me the chance to take a photo of the two watches side by side... of course they are two different watches but they have the same size case!

Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum and got amazed by the XF 15202. Just received my QC and identified a missalignment of the 12 hour marker. For those who have the watch already, do you think it's an issue? Any other thoughts on the pics I'm happy to hear anyways.
Thanks for all the information shared throughout this thread.

The marker looks okay to me, but I noticed the bezel brushing isn’t quite straight, but tilted about 2 degrees clockwise. An easy fix, but the brushing pattern doesn’t look as uniform as other examples either.

You're correct, could you tell me how you'd fix it? Is there any recommended tool for it?

Nope, this isn’t true.
Look at pics of the actual gen 15202. The logos of the gen and rep are largely similar. Don’t look at generated graphics of gens, they are often different from how the actual products look in terms of color or details.
In this case the logo isn’t perfectly 1:1 but it’s close enough not to be a “major tell”.

If you read through the beginning of this thread that was an issue only for the first few prototypes. The later releases of this watch had updated bezels with much better screw positioning.

First you have to unscrew the screw and then push out the pin - for the safest results use a pin pusher tool to avoid scratches on the side of the bracelet or deformed pin ends.

if the screws are too tight to unscrew them without damaging them - keep in mind that they used some sort of locktite or other substance to secure them from falling out.
I had some trouble too but gently heated the screws to soften the locktite.
Temperatures of 70-140°C should do the trick based on my experience with all other bracelets in the past and those chinese screws that are soft as butter.
