What bothers me the most is the difference in lume color between hands and hour markers. It is crisp white on GEN (regardless of Mark I or III) and I would worry that the XF hour markers are just too green. What do you guys think? Can anybody who actually owns/has seen the XF share their views? It is difficult to assess from pictures.

IMO it's what stops it from being an instant buy for me. YMMV though, everyone has different things they can live with. It's fixable sure, but I don't want to go through the trouble and would prefer to see what ZF has to offer first before buying.

I agree, although in some pictures the difference isn't so striking. See for example Li's post on the XF that started this thread (https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...3352-xf-new-ap-royal-oak-15202-releasing-soon).

That's why I would be curious as to how other people who have the watch experience the color difference. It is the only thing that stops me from buying it.

The color of the lume depend if it starts glowing or not. the gen is in fact white, but markers are that thin, that i doubt you'll ever see a difference on that point without a gen next to each other or even with a gen under sunlight....
-->the way the dial is reflecting light is more a topic (sunburst, colors changing and so on...), and this is the Main topic of this watch which takes light like nothing else.....

Same reason that stop me from purchasing XF 15202. I have concerns regarding the lume too. I know the gen does has slight differences in the lume between markers and hour hand but the difference doesn’t seem to be as obvious as the XF pictures shown here. It’s an important factor to me as the wearer is seeing the hour hand in close distance everyday, almost impossible for the wearer to unseen it. Therefore I choose ZF 15400 over XF 15202. But I am hoping ZF can create a 15202 or XF creates a 15202 V2 to resolve the lume haha

Thank you Li! Looks quite accurate.
Does anyone know if there is a comparison with gen?

My mini (actually not so mini) review:

Photos cannot do this watch justice, it is so much more stunning in person! This is by far the best out of box rep that I ever purchased.

All the tiny minuscule imperfections that were pointed out on the highly zoomed in magnified photos are non-issues in real life, the watch looks incredible on the wrist.

And I finally understand now what people mean when they say that the proportions of the 15202 is much more balanced and pleasing to the eye than the proportions of the bigger 15400. I never got the amazing WOW feeling when looking or wearing my 15400, yes it was a great looking watch but it always just looked too big for me and almost like a Diver and it just lost a bit of that elegant Royal Oak look. I always ended up selling my 15400’s after a while because of this. But the proportions of this 15202 which XF replicates so well is just magnificent and even on my large wrist it looks and feels perfect! The watch indeed wears larger than its advertised 39mm.

I may have gotten lucky but the movement in my watch is dead silent and I cannot hear it even after shaking it right next to my ear.

I love the thin profile (I could never get used to the thickness of the 15400) and the way it just sits so effortlessly beneath the cuff of my shirt.

The dial is just beautiful, I don’t know exactly how to describe it but I LOVE the understated dark navy/grey color! Much better than the flashy light blue of my JF 15400!

The crystal is perfect and the AR is actually very clear!

I don’t really notice the different lume colors in regular every day wear, the markers are just so thin that it doesn’t stand out to my eyes. From wrist length they all look pretty white. Maybe in direct sunlight the hour markers take on a drop greenish tinge.

I prefer this thinner bracelet over the 15400, it’s so much lighter and finer and still feels very solid.

The date setting is a pain compared to the quickset watches but it’s just not such a big deal, it took me about two minutes to move through the whole month using the “wind back 15 markers at 12” trick.

The way AP put the logo at 6 looks so much better now than the way the 15400 squashes it in on top of the brands name at 12.

The unique rotor adds so much character to the underside of the watch, they did a great job replicating it!

So to summarize, I am thrilled with the XF 15202 and urge you all to order it for yourselves and prepare to be amazed.

Like I said, photos cannot do this watch any justice, but here are some quick indoor shots from today to wet your appetites...

Beautiful, congratulations ! May I ask how would you consider the AR quality on it please ? Do you think it would benefit from a 2AR mod ? Cheers

I was initially planning on sending it in for a AR treatment but upon receiving it I think I changed my mind. I think they did a great job with the crystal, it is really clear!

Amazing info, thank you for that.

May I ask your wrist size? Cm or inch.

Links removed? Or did it fit straight out of the box?

That's actually a good question and I am honestly not sure the answer. My first watch I got from the TD did NOT fit straight out of the box, it was too tight. After discussing with the TD he said he thinks it didn't fit because there were links removed from my bracelet. So he sent me a new one and this one fit right out of the box.

So I am really not sure if this one had some links added or the other watch had links removed. I don't have the other watch anymore so I can't compare. I don't know what the hell happened but I am just glad I finally have one that fits.

Hopefully someone else with 8" wrists can chime in if it fit out of the box...

I'm totally agree with the "mini review" by Phantomtech.
And since I'm experiencing a great satisfaction using this watch, I would only add a wish: I hope the Myotas movements we have in our 15202 case will last for a long time to let us enjoy this watch for a lot of years!
