Almost wanted to pull a trigger on that one, but the colour of the "luminor panerai" is wrong based on the pictures.
It is sort of whitish, while on the gen, the font and the lume colours look the same
Nice to see another factory trying. But the combination of too green lume with white fonts (if this is not the specificity of the color rendering of the photo) seems to throw it back 10 years ...

As a Panerai Noob why would someone prefer this over a 111? Lack of see through caseback and painted dial as opposed to sandwich. I guess it's all opinion but what is the reason behind preference here?
I can only speak for myself.
After the novelty of the sandwich dial is has worn out and over, I'd still go to the traditional sausage dial.
In terms of legibility, the sausage dial actually much better than the sandwich dial

Some people prefer the closed case backs as well. The movement is a dead giveaway if you know what you are looking for. With a closed case back, that takes the movement completely out of question.
Personally, I prefer solid caseback always for rep. In 111 and 127, you need to put enough $$$ so that they look behind (if anyone cares about it except me), just like the models with solid caseback out of the box. Plus, for my taste, the luminor bettarini is made for the sausage on the dial. The sandwich is great, but I'll save it for the 1950 case.
I treat the 111 as a model that was made to find all the features of the pam "in one bottle" and for minimal money. For those who are not a fan of the brand, this is enough as 1 pam watch in the collection, but if I have alternatives, I will choose several models that maximize the best qualities of the brand, each in its own way.

Are you sure? It's confusing because I haven't heard of GMF and in the pfclones website factories folders they have them both separated
