Says gen in your sig lol. Honestly, even though I know very little, it looked like a CHS to me immediately, as that is what we are focusing on here

Sig isn't shown in tapatalk so I didn't realize! Dammit lol

You responded with personal attacks which aren't tolerated.

Well given the fact I just called it as I saw it and said "dick" don't mean it was an attack. I could have said Que"rude" but found the other word more suiting. My apologies if I offended someone with another nickname for "Richard"... However I stand by my point that he honestly didn't need to post if it was negative... Anywho, im done.

But from what i saw, Q's comment wasn't even directed at you. Am I missing something?

Don't let this become a slugfest. The handstack issues has been around in reps every since the beginning of time. There were correct handstack movements being made but those were unreliable. That's the reason why the reputable makers makes incorrect handstack movements.

From my recollection even BK offered the GMT-2 ceramic back ab a year and a half ago and told me via email when I inquired about purchase that they just weren't reliable and wouldn't hold up.... I've seen enough gen to compare to rep and imo isn't even noticeable to naked eye unless you keep a loop around your neck.... I'll take longevity over limited asthetics with my money personally.

Besides, it's a lot of fun wearing a rep with a few flaws. My Gens get boring.

I don't know. Since I know it exists I always look at the hand stack on a GMTII. I think most people, including the owners of a gen, wouldn't look twice at the handstack. We are just a very anal group. BTW...the QueDick reference was pretty funny.

I will overlook a flaw (sec@9 on a late model Daytona, for example...) in favor of reliability......but a sloppy set of endlinks looks worse than Hillary Clinton in a G-string bikini.....:hypnotized::whistling::flowers1:

I wondered how this thread got to 4 pages... handbags... lol

Watched this short video yesterday as it happens from a 'reputable' watch chanel of a 1675 gmt clearly showing an ICHS.

Is this some kind of franken or a streight replica guys? To me the dial, insert and seconds hand movement look awful but I'm far from expert. Plus is this how lowbeats look up close?

Actually it´s a nice, vintage and slim gen. It was only when changing to the GMT quickset from model 16570 onwards that Rolex changed the handstack for the GMT hand to be above the hour hand. So on the 1675 the ICHS is the CHS (as per gen) and even the 1675 reps got that right.

4 pages? Geez, get with the times! Go to settings and change you posts per page to 40.

Good to know! (Now checking TD's for a nice 1675)

This makes my franken 1675 gmt correct. Thanks for this and reps left for making my day!

lol you guys, the only gens i have ever owned are sekonda and viceroy and are probably the only ones. the reps i have owned i wouldn't have even noticed the hand stack, all i know is they look good and the hands point at the numbers or numerals. i wouldn't even know the difference through a loupe, honestly couldn't care less lol.

Thought I would keep this going. A few points. The new guys here are way too mouthy! Also they are not supporters. Pay up! This forum doesn't run for free! Second. You can have a rep with the CHS. I have one. You just have to spend money. The ones that the TD sell won't have it because they use clone copies of the ETA 2836 and add a GMT wheel that ETA doesn't even offer .http://www.yukiwatch.com/articles/article/7390084/183163.htm Here is my watch. Mike (Misiekped) does this upgrade. It will cost you and a majority of you watch will be real but it still about 1/2 the cost of a real Rolex. QueTip... Quedick....That's some funny stuff right there.....

Some members here claim they can spot an ICHS on any ceramic GMTII, so here is a quiz for you. On his sales thread, zocker4711 posted a side-by-side gen and rep series of pics showing its not quite as easy as it seems. It is post 51 here:
Rolex Franken GMT, SD4000, SubC - Multiple

Let's see how you do...

That is an amazing build. I can spot a few of things that make is not look authentic. That is just me though. From a distance. Looks great. As would a Noob straight from the factory with out all those mods.

I am that guy who loves Rolex's. If were on a cruise and I saw you with that watch I would tell you that is a beautiful watch can I see it. The second you show me the watch face it would be over. Yes you can see the correct hand stack. It isn't the actual hand that gives it away, except here when compared to the real one. The size is way of on the fake. Its the pinions that give it away. No one can tell from a few feet away. If I am sitting next to you at a table. You would be done. LOL. To do all that work on a watch and put an A2836 in it. The question is why? He cut the legs to the gen dial. Shame. It is a great watch he built. But to me the hands are a dead giveaway.

There was a guy selling a yuki 3185 GMT here for like $2700. That was a steal. In just parts it was a steal.
