Got this for $80 on RG. Only bought it so I could practice working on it. Removing/replacing the hands, dial, etc. And you might not be able to see it, but the DW is green, lol. I do like the color combo though. The green and gold look sharp. Wish it wasn't such a bad piece, lol.

You'd need a Swiss lawyer who has experience to confirm everything. And I don't think that there is one on RWI. But I don't think that this would be necessary, it seems more like that Switzerland has its own rights and is not part of a world economy. So why should we discuss this topic any further if everything said by Swiss solicitors is regarded as bullshit and instantly scorned.

I have a GDL (UK LLB equivalent for LPC / bar training) but I am curious to see what others may have to say. One of the grey areas I have debated with my lawyer friend is about franken watches with genuine rolex dial and genuine crown.. because rolex didn't manage to patent the common design of the watch, these watches can be sold legally with genuine parts as long as it isn't misrepresented by the seller as a rolex (and the case is sterile without any rolex markings). Maybe rolex can find another way to litigate (e.g. trade dress violation) but I couldn't find any exact existing case law related to this matter.

Hmm interesting point, I'll try to find something in the Swiss jurisdiction. But as I said, I contacted the Swiss institute for intellectual property (IGE) and some lawyers that are known to be working for Rolex. Can't wait for their answer.
Oh and before anyone has any false thoughts or thinks he has to shout "Don't discuss replicas publicly": I did not mention Longbo, I did not mention RWI, nor did I mention the reason why I want these information. It was just a normal request which is pretty normal between lawyers and solicitors.

Well to me a facepalm - just like the "proverbial box of rocks" I received - are suited if a post is complete bullshit, written in poor language or whatever. But looks like you love giving these to new users / Noobs, as Tucker might call me, so go ahead.
However, this is still a forum and a community. Why should I hijack a thread and how should I do this? You aren't being cumbered to post or view these watches in any way. Aren't we allowed to discuss some aspects in a thread? It does not harm you "rep-a-holics" in any way and if you are not interested in the discussion, you could just skip the text and enjoy the "crap-tac-ular" watches? Vice versa, it does not mean that we, whom are engaged in this discussion, don't want to see these "crap-tac-ular" reps, as you call them. But hey, if you believe that I am hijacking this thread, go ahead; there is even a "report"-button under my posts, maybe you want to try that out.
