Had Mike service, lube and waterproof my CF Kermit VR3235. Awesome work and he emailed with additional work that was needed to repair bezel. Fast turnaround, fair pricing, good communication and an all around solid guy. Planning on having him service all my reps to square them away. I highly recommend Mike.

hey are you located in NY? if I needed a watch to be plated with gold can it be done, the strap is leather so its just the face part.

Mike @watchservicesny certainly lived up to the reputation he’s built on this forum. I approached him with a request to fully service my Clean Factory DJ41. When I first received the watch, the movement felt gritty and the rotor had some noise to it. In addition I had purchased a plated bezel and deep xtal that I asked Mike to install for me.

All in all he exceeded my expectations. After reaching out he got back to me immediately with a list of services and where to send. The watch was sent out, serviced and returned in 10days, receipts of all his work included.

Services provided:
Install bezel and xtal
Service/clean/oil movement
waterproof case

I highly recommend reaching out if there is a service you need performed to your watch.

Updating with another outstanding review for WatchServiceNY!! After the original build, I decided to upgrade to a Clean case, and build another Franken DJ. Mike was able to perform perfect swaps, for a complicated 3 watch scope. Serviced all movements, completed all bezel, dial, crystal, crown, date disc, rotor and movement swaps/ upgrades.

Truly fortunately to have the absolute privilege of having WatchServiceNY perform such masterful work!!!

Just got my 116505 Daytona back from Mike.
Sent to him for a 4130 movement service, 10-bar waterproof, and Deep Crystal replacement.
Excellent work as everyone else has reviewed. Watch feels noticeably better when winding and hands run smoother.

The gen dial + gen crystal look stunning. There are simply so much more details in the dial that did not exist in the rep version. You really have to hold or wear it in person in order to see and appreciate all the details.

I'm fairly new here. I read so much on here and gained invaluable information.
After ordering a VSF 126610LV, I was blown away (like many). As a gen owner, I recognized this watch was so good I knew it would be a perfect base for a franken project.
I spent over a year sourcing every new/mint gen 3235 movement part including screws and datewheel. I found everything except a gen mainplate. I added a gen crown and tube and was lucky enough to find gen hands for a reasonable price from a member here - shout-out to Gaz1a.
Mike's reputation speaks for itself so I reached out to start this project.
He agreed to swap all vsf parts with gen parts and service, do crown and tube installation, polish rehaut and make lugs less sharp to be more gen-like. He surpassed my expectations.

The timing results are incredible - haven't seen results this good on ANY Rolex 3235 movement. 0.0 seconds a day, 0.0 ms beat error, 294 amplitude.
I will admit Mike's communication style is a bit terse and direct but the man is professional, charges fairly, works faster than expected and does a great job overall.
We are lucky to have access to this exceptional watchmaker.

Presumably that's a lot of parts?!

At that point doesn't the watchmaker simply need to assemble all of the gen parts into a movement? Why do you even need the rep 3235 at all?

It looks fantastic and the accuracy is amazing. Perfect!

Yes, all movement parts were acquired sans the mainplate - this part is nearly impossible to find. Mike says Rolex doesn't distribute them. So the VSF mainplate was still needed to complete this build.
The parts cost can fluctuate ALOT. The condition of the parts is crucial - even if you find them. I've had to return a few parts bought off ebay because of bad condition.
My advice is to find a good dealer and try source all parts from them. Prices since I've purchased have went up hundreds on some parts. If you want new/mint parts, that will cost $$$ but still may be worth it. VSF literally nailed every aspect of the watch except the movement. By replacing the movement with gen or near gen you've got the soul of gen rolex - which is by far the most important aspect of a watch imo.
All in I'm north of $6k. No regrets
