Which Seamaster 300 - VSF vs ORF

Ok so I’m asking the same question once more from another perspective…

I have just managed to get hold of a gen dial. What’s the best version to consider for a Franken?

I know some of the seamaster text is off colour, the 12 markers are crooked - ignoring all that which has the best bezel colour and font and best crystal?

Some people seem to think the best version is the
ORF case set for the proper crown guards.
ORF bracelet.
VSF crystal (my ORF crystal seems fine though).
VSF bezel assembly.(by a little- the difference between Rolex clean bezel and Rolex VRF bezel is bigger then between omega ORF/VSF in my opinion, both feel nice, vsf click is louder)
For bezel insert PIP I don’t know. Need people with the OCD to chime in. You know who you are.

Make sure you report back if the gen dial date window lines up well. I haven’t heard of anyone doing a gen dial in one of these yet.

I agree perfectly with that combo and have built three just like that apart from crystals swapping. The VSF bezel has deeper more accurate scallops than ORF and the insert on VSF has a round leading edge that sits a fraction above the bezel like gen. ORF sits flush and has a sharp cut leading edge. Pips are pretty much the same. I’ll try and find some piccies later.

There was another post on here recently saying the ORFs now had some issues with old parts being used and a cheaper version of the movement.

Maybe I’ll be best off building my Franken from a pre owned piece from m2m hopefully so I can assess the suitability based on what’s available.

My 1st super rep was the VSF Seamaster Diver 300M 1:1 Best Edition Black Ceramic Black Dial on SS Bracelet A8800 V2 (Black Balance Wheel) that I bought M2M here, still in wrapper nearly 2 years ago. Have only worn it a few times, but put it OTW last night and still amazed on the quality and compliments. At the time VSF ruled this rep and Omega in general. It was a bargain compared to the price of my new CF 124060LN that I just received, but this is the cost of our hobby when working with TD and quality. Funny how I can spot a Dhgate shitter a mile away, and I thank RWI and it's members for the knowledge.

I managed to find an OEM dial for my crsmp 300 black, has anyone tried the swap with gen dial on a ORF watch? Is it possible without ruining the original dial feet?

Nope, not normal but more than that I would argue about the lume color, it looks really yellow

I was curious does anyone have a 2 tone VSF? If so can you share some photo's? I have 2 of these already and would add every model to collection if I could.
