For sure. The BBR rubber straps are fine. But check the quality of the OEM BBR Velcro strap compared to my custom Winsentex one. Notice the width, texture, and sheen. Huge difference. The Wisentex strap is also much less flimsy.

Hello

Do you know where to buy this custom nylon strap?

Or where to buy a better nylon strap than the BBR nylon strap for rm 35-91?

Thank you!!

Hi Everyone, I’m pretty keen to get myself into the V3 BBR 055 in White, just wondering if anyone here has put one on an elastic strap?, If so, would you please be able to post a picture please, keen to see how it looks. Thanks in advance :)

If ordering a strap from Vic just bear in mind the V3 BBR case/strap is not the same as V2. I got one (blue strap above) but it's not the best fit (vertically ie gap to case) and I needed to grind down the metal tabs to fit

Thanks for sharing this information! super crucial to move forward with the purchase. Did you have to grind down alot to fit it in?

@Dollar_short never seen that one before, got a better shot? And as always, is that a mecaquartz? I'm always looking for a mecaquartz RM rep as a beater. Subdials aren't right but it looks better than any of the others that I've seen of that model.

neither have i, and i searched A LOT, only 1 mention of it. what others have you seen of it? the whole dial and watch itself is far better than you think.

I've seen the shitters like those old RM50 McLarens where they're closer to an homage than an actual rep since the quality is usually garbage. I know the subdials aren't right for a mecaquartz but the deco doesn't look too bad and I'd like one to play with if I could find it. While looking around on DHGate I did also find a few models (the RM50 included) that look to have been upgraded big-time while still being mid-tier reps. New deco, more attention paid to details, etc. No idea what movement it's running and not looking to spend $300 to find out but it does seem that the mid-tier reps got a huge upgrade recently. Where'd you pick that one up?

the RM50 and 11 shitters in my thread, those have been heavily modded, the onola is gone for parts(and that was the best quality of the 3). they now don't look to bad, for what they are.

don't count on those upgraded shitters to be better = bait&switch.

idk what movement, but its quartz, 4&5 2.35 are about a week out. and then mod them, i expect.

this one is on DHG, but i didn't trust the sellers. so i contacted a TD, michaeltravis, who got it for me, $180 all in. and get this, the date works and looks as it should, but not gen.

crappy pic, only one that angle i have right now.

Press a chrono pusher. If the seconds hand sweeps smoothly it's a mecaquartz. I'm going to guess no since the 3:00 subdial isn't a 24hr indicator.

Not sure what you're talking about re: bait and switch, I know I'm looking at mid-tiers, but what I'm saying is that they have been upgraded in the looks department. I don't buy from DHGate so no bait and switch happening.

That's a great looking watch but without something to distinguish it (working chrono, etc) it's just good-looking.

The insert cad file is being adjusted right now. Strap will be thicker at the case to reduce the gap and the width of the metal will be reduced back to oem specs.

Initially it was the oem width but after a customet complained it was hard to "catch" the hole for the screw due to the fact that BBR cases had wider cavity so the insert had too much room to go left/right. So i have made them wider for BBR.

Now looks like BBR on v3 finally did this spec according to oem size so the insert had to be asjusted again ;)

That's the fun of making straps for reps. Factories play with specs sometimes even within batches of the same version. Consistency ? No, never heard about it :)))

the large chrono goes about 3-4 ticks per second= not smooth but not shitty. 3 dial is 1 second = moves fast and looks great. 6 is seconds. 9 is minutes i think. the major bad on this is the hands, standard RM which is not gen 65, but they do look really good.

where do you buy shitters?

i forgot about the QC pics. this is mine = has the same blemish mine does irl

Wow appreciate the side to side comparison photos bud. This very clearly shows the difference in tightness of the weave and also the difference in quality of the stitching. Pretty huge difference to be honest looking at it straightup like this. Wisentex custom is a must get mod I guess when it comes to getting RMs.
Also consider that each wisentex strap is custom made, tailored basically based on the wrist size. So that the velcro part sits comfy centered at the bottom of the wrist.

The strap is very good quality and much nicer to wear than the stock rubber.

Stock rubber in my opinion looks & feels too cheap. I much prefer wearing the stock nylon strap on my BBR 35-01.
