I've always admired that watch although with my tiny wrists I could never pull it off ... a quick question that maybe you could answer: I have often seen the "74" on pam straps ..what is the significance of that?
It couldn't be just the strap size ... could it ?

Yep they are solid! When I 1st got them they looked painted Bronze to be honest, but a quick rub with fine wirewool proved they were infact solid bronze so yep bargain. The other buckle is waiting for the gunny canvas to pair up with the 671 bronzo. Incoming pics on the bronzo thread when it turns up.[emoji106]

Has to do with a vintage PAM picture, here is a thread about the meaning. I wondered the same in the beginning, this is my first strap with the number on it.
