Lol thats the spirit! I have like 15 things inbound from them at the moment - all relatively inexpensive but interesting to see the results.

My Tom Ford 211s came in the mail today from Ali Express.
Pretty sweet package. Came with outer branded box, suede like eye glass case, cleaning cloth, card of "authentication" and some printed material. Glasses are quite nice too.

So my AliExpress Explorer II came. I paid USD166.50 for this piece of shit. I immediately raised a dispute with AliExpress and I am going to raise a chargeback on my credit card as well. Avoid this seller. Posts good quality reps on his listing and sends the canal street types out. Even had the cheek to lie and said photos on his listing were real when I asked him.

To be fair the sellers post pics of the gens so that the buyer is sure of what they are buying. I will not buy anything regardless of a good price if i do not get a clear and obvious picture of the actual rep. I also will not buy unless i see customer review and pics. You cant just buy from there based on the price seaming like its the price u get for a good rep or a bad rep. If u do not want to do that then stick to TD's but if u can be patient and set realistic expectations, give AE a go.

and yes thats a pretty bad lookin rep. Even the 12 marker and crown is wrong from the looks of it

I purchased some Tom Ford sunglasses... awaiting package anyday now... reviews say they are of amazing quality. Even the case is like suede covered.

A little word of advice about AE - When you find someone you are interested in (Especially something that cost a significant amount of money) follow these steps:

1) Check the # of orders that have been made for the item
2) Check and read the reviews made by those who ordered. There are often pictures posted there as well.
3) Contact the seller and ask them to send you some actual photos of the watch you will be getting (In essence QC photos).

If they refuse step three - or give you any kind of push back, should be a red flag for you right there.

AE is always a crap shoot and you run the risk of getting burned, but if you follow the three steps above, you will get a better idea of what you will be receiving and your chances of getting burned become smaller. Not perfect since this is still the rep game and you dealing with China, but still you give yourself a better chance.

Hope this helps.

Search "TF211" for the model. Its like wayfarer style. I got it in Tortoise. Shipping is taking forever! The sunglasses should be $30-40

Strangely, AliExpress is the best place to get legitimate 18650 li-ion batteries. All but a few on even Amazon are fakes or of greatly exaggerated capacity

Click the link I posted. I already had it in another thread and didn't want to clog the forum with double posts.

Think I have asked 4-5 sellers if they have pics of the actual item. The usual reply is "pictures are same", when clearly it is a gen photofrom online shops. Got two watches from ali so far.

When they tell me that, I move on to the next seller. Plenty of fish in the sea. Like u said, most of the pics are gens so unless I can see exactly what I am buying I am not opening that can of worms, not worth the risk imho
