For the Patek... I like it in photos, but not sure if I will like it in person or grow tired of the shape, so before I drop $250-$300 I want to feel it out first.

I bought the 5771 off AE about a year ago for a similar amount of money your link states. Automatic movement, it still works great, no major flaws or defects, I am sure the movement deco is far from gen but who cares, and it's probably the watch with the most wrist time in the last year. it'll grow on you, it's just so unexplicably good on the wrist

But then they would have the same pricing like on their websites, maybe even more expensive since good ole Ali surely also wants his tribute. Or they would run it like a low cost branch, without QC pics, refunds, replacements etc... - and then definitely under a different name.

These guys are everything but not stupid and they will not risk their reputation whcih they earned in the rep forums and which generates good business for them.


Plus: Look at the English in these shops and all the mistakes (jap, I know, I'm also not perfect) - if you ever had businnes with Angus, Toro, Sead, Ryan... you'd see the difference.

I am so close to buying another from him right now. All I have to do is press the "place order" button. I was disappointed when he disappeared.

Surely Aliexpress protection will not be honoured if what you receive is significantly different from pics received outside of their system. How would you prove the discussion of the email watch was the watch sold within Ali without the (electronic) paper-trail?

I was able to prove that on mine. I just sent the pictures from the Email to the seller and then a screenshot of the email.

Thanks for the vote of confidence I mainly got this watch because we have an old photo of my wifes dad holding my wife as a baby and he has what looks like a square Patek.... but since the photo was taken during the soviet era, theres no way in hell he had a Patek.

About "Cindy" (well, i'm sure the person i wrote to so many times is a girl, but not sure about her name...) and her stores (she had 4, but the main one is now shutdown) :
when you are ok on a watch & price from her catalogue, you just tell her and she'll open a link/page in one store and you just pay as for any AE order.
And from my experience, everything go without trouble with fast shipping and very good packaging.

About all her pieces, i've been surprised to see that some pics are same (or almost same) as from a TD (same background, sometimes same hand/fingers)....

This is my one from that seller. The logo is slightly crooked. But it waterproofed with new gaskets with no problem. It is my favourite watch atm. I intend to buy the gen. That is why I did not go TD. But I am super-impressed with this one. The crown is not screwed in in this pic. But it screws down with no problem. It is also a hack movement.

On "Cindys" catalogue: I don't see any prices so I assume one must inquire first, then second for 'QC' photos if wanting said item?

It would be nice to see prices before bothering the dealer over and over.

I haven't seen that B&R before (like at a TD), but I haven't looked that hard either.

Bought this DW watch on 11.11 for a friend. It arrived today, it has all full package, i.e. box & manual, with right logo. The watch works fine and i didn't see any flaw. Passed it to my friend who was very happy to save about 200 bucks; she didn't know she could save so much. Now she wants the gold dial with leather strap..that will cost her quite a lot ahahahah

thanks for the tip on the DW. I ordered a couple and actually wanted to order some more. Maybe you can answer questions...the seller doesn't have pics of all color, or way of adding all different options to cart that are listed. How do you order the ones not pictured for example green band?

I missed the option to get one with box, where do you see that option? Ordered two of those because of his review. Think they are really good looking for it's price and they have been discussed before.

look at his other item for sales, you will find one with the box at $9+. IMO not worth it.
