What is a Trusted Dealer?

I've never been able to figure out why some people have to swim upstream, it just makes life harder. I'm reminded each day that I am temporal and just a blip in the scheme of things, with little influence. But what little influence I have in my small circle can be a positive one if I choose so...

What does this have to do with a trusted dealer? absolutely nothing.

hmmm, heavy man heavy... I would bet if we actually met some of these guys we neither respect or like them. I know one thing, I sure would not want to swap nickels with them, might come up a few cents short.
I think a trusted dealer is one who is liked and trusted by all because of their actions, not because one or two members tell about their good dealings with them.
In my job I can take care of a select few acounts while screwing the others....Does that make me trusted distributor just because the few said I did a good job??

WTF? Where to start? Trusted Dealer? First I wanna say I respect D4me and understand his posting it makes alot of sense.
Look you send $$ you get a rep, thats it. Yea the reps are better then street crap but common do you really believe in high end reps? Are you that stupid? Really? Most of the dealers are trusted to the sense of delivery, reliability, and getting what you ordered (although that can be a whole other thread), movement, material, etc.
Rep quality goes from cheap a s s s h i t to f u c k e d up cheap a s s s h i t. Most dealers wanna sale you a good one but they have no control over quality. You order, its delivered from overseas, and you hope for the best. Now, is the s h i t sapphire crystal? Does it have a Real ETA or eta clone? (ETA clone, I've always thought thats BS, it just means cheapest movement they can find), and a endless list of other crap. Theres no way to know WTF your gonna get. Bottom line its cheap a s s s h i t and thats what your buying.
I've never made any real comments about the so called cartel. Why you ask? Simple I've had Trusted and happy dealings with Trusty and would still recommend him, never a problem that wasn't handled. About the price fixing thing, well thats not to hard to figure out, its obvious. Simple answer don't buy if you think the price is to high. One or Two hunded fine, over that your throwing $$ away don't be stupid, its what their counting on.
Best thing to do is buy one at a time see what happens and never assume anything, expect the worst and hope for best and most important these are reps, crap watches, so don't expect QUALITY where there is none.

I hear ya K, but thats not really what I meant. Clearly if anyone gets screwed post away. Let me say this. I will be right there with any member who post a negative about his dealings. I encourage anyone who has had bad dealings to post the dealers name and explain what happened. I will never accept the I'm scared to post about so and so dealer because I might get falmed excuse. Everyone here wants to here real customer feedback.
K, what I meant was delivered what was promised, as promised, when promised. That with a better standard of communation and great service make Trusty trusted.
Now am I buying anything? Let me clear to everyone F U C K NO. Why? the bottom line is quality and there is none.

Its always amazed me how people always say "pick your dealer, then pick your watch". I really think that is a f__ked up philosophy. Its that kind of attitude that has put us in the position that we are in. In my opinion all dealers are snakes, some are just a bit more venomous than others. I really felt that the boards should have united back during the LWL thread, and put an end to J&As antics. Now, I think they are a little too thoroughly entrenched in our community to do anything about it. J&A have basically stopped participating on RWG and RWI, and their input on RG is minimal as well. They have such a massive following on all three boards, that banning them would likely have little effect. We all know where to find them, and their followers will have no problems recommending them to the next newb looking for the best sub.
This battle need to be fought amongst the dealers. Angus has fired some pretty good attacks with his surprise release of the v2 Skyland. The resulting price reductions have benefitted us all, maybe in more ways than we can imagine.

because the answer lies not in mechanics of destiny with all of those labeled as shark,
rather with sources unknown now, yet availabe to any with curiosity..
we pay mostly for our laziness..
and LWL was good thing, yes.. to what end? raising of awareness..

No doubt Sean, but J&A have been strong-arming dealers for a while now. Ask TWP or Ruby. If we had banned them on all boards after the white lies thread, we would have made a difference. We have lost our power to some extent.
It really boggles the mind at how highly those two guys are regarded, and how easily the membership will forget their transgressions.
