Cheap but by no means nasty. Leather exterior, velvet lining, spring loaded cushions

Spring loaded cushions??? Sounds dangerous. Are you sure you don't need a permit to own such contraptions? [emoji1]

Lol I can get them off quick when I need a watch in an emergency. No permit, don't tell anyone.

Throw it on the dresser in the walk in robe
Just grab a random watch to wear in the mornings while getting dressed

So do you guys keep your watch boxes in full view, say, on top of a dresser?

Reason I ask is, a few years ago I had an attempted break into my home but the alarm system went off and scared away the bastards.

I have 3 watch boxes full and now keep them hidden underneath a kitchen counter. Unfortunately it's a big production to bring out the boxes to choose a watch to wear for the day.

I guess the solution would be a safe bolted to the floor? Although I'm not in the mood to spend big bucks for this.

Mine are in my gun safes, so whatever you do, don't leave it in full view

Yeah, thanks for reply.
I've seen photos on the forums in which people have their watch boxes on top of dressers, not a good idea.

I'm probably going to invest in a safe.

Safes give you more room to put more watches  bolt it down.

I'm glad I read this thread - I was guilty of having them on my dresser!

Couple of weeks ago, I had to move all my watch boxes from the bedroom dresser into my man-cave because the lady had been chewing me out about them being "in the way of everything!" It's a bit of a hassle going down just to pick a watch to wear, but if you've been married long enough, you learn to pick your battles.

Good outcome though is I can finally sneak in that 4th (or will it be 5th?) box with no qualms. [emoji1]
