If your gold Rolex is a gen then I say wear it, if it's a rep I'd get rid of it. Now a lot of guys are gonna say wear a huge watch (not me) but becareful with that because there's a point where that huge watch looks ridiculous and that fact is lost on many wearers. Wear what you like, don't get caught up in trends, or rely on what others think you should be wearing. Keep it classy is the best way to go.

That's what i'm trying to do, I never liked the huge diamond encrusted watches, i'm just going for what blends with my color scheme as well as what is proportionate to my height and wrist size. The Gold DD I posted is a $68 Replica which I since sold in person for a $160. I got rid of it due to the fact of the amount of gold, It was too much and too overpowering to the eyes. I was trying to match it to my ring I have since then come to the conclusion matching every metallic object on your body is stupid but now I have come to think about the size of watches as well. I know this is an obscenely long thread for such a simple question and I apologize but I don't want to waste money here. So the question remains, A Rolex, that suits my look on page one as well as the size which fits by height and wrist size.

The biggest difference is price, crap, better then crap, decent, good, great, custom build. All depends who you buy from, how much you want to spend, and how long your willing to wait.

There's a lot to read here, instead of asking who has the best sub spend some time here researching. You'll be surprised how much you can learn.

Well I actually meant between the models of seadweller and submariner. To me it just seems to be the Cyclops but thanks I will start reading.

Unless you have to have a rep the best thing to do is get together what can afford to spend and buy a gen you really like, forget this replica BS, and save yourself the headache.

Don't say I didn't warn you, LOL.

Ironically the only watch designs I like are Luxury brands like Rolex and id rather pay $60 - $300 for a Rep Rolex opposed to a Brand that blatantly steals a design from Rolex but calls it another. Like Michael Kors but hey, You give good advice.

I have actually decided to build a custom rolex piece by piece. GMT II, Two tone jubilee bracelet, Gold brown bezel, Gold Dial, Gold and White Markers and Gold and White Hands. It will probably cost a fortune but I think it will be nice.

This really sounds like quite a task to get done and there's a lot more going on with that then you probably realize. Either your inexperienced in this hobby and not to versed in movements and builds or your insane and have bad taste, LMAO.

You should know by this entire thread that i'm completely inexperienced. I meant I was just going to pay someone to switch around things like bezels and dials. It isn't really completely custom, but in a way custom. Anyway I changed my mind. Just going with a Sub or a Seadweller because this is getting insane.

I was set on buying a Deepsea Rep but then I realized the case size and thickness, could anyone share some thoughts on that. Firstly, will it look ok on my wrist which is 7.5" and secondly will it fit under a dress shirt sleeve?

I was told once that Panerai is the Casio of Luxury watches, I'm inclined to agree. I don't see the appeal

Think about this statement for a moment. Doesn't make any sense.
The number of Casio units sold each year compared to same tier brands is enormous. More like Rolex compared to other luxury brands. Panerai sales aren't even close to the 1 million units Rolex has each year, it's less than 5% and less than other known luxury brands.
Brand recognition? Everyone knows Casio, like everyone knows Rolex, not many heard of Panerai.
Innovation thru time? Casio released the first calculator watch, first illuminated watch etc. , Rolex released the first water proof watch, first dual time watch etc.. Panerai released the first of what?
Reliability and toughness? Doesn't get more robust and tough than a G-Shock, like it doesn't get more robust than a Rolex among other luxury watches.
Popularity? Look at the TV, every hip-hopper, "singer" or minor celebrity has either a G-Shock or a Rolex, you don't see to many Panerais, do you?

So you can say Casio is more like the Rolex of cheap watches.

You're right, sorry. I just dislike the design, I didn't know but I recently found there is a Authorized Rolex Dealer in my city so I think i'm going to visit and see which fits better a Sub or a DSSD.
