yes everything is hitting my OCD nerves there

Breathe in, then out and after that, let it hit you again. It's much worse when it hits the second time. Lol

Looks acceptable as a franken. The only thing stopping this watch from looking like a gen is the datewheel and also the date window cut-out. A gen caliber will resolve both issues. Not sure if the crown is centered well too. But as a fun franken, it definitely looks good, congrats LuoIsBoss !

The whole bezel you mean? Lol

Whoever poked around before butchered the whole thing. There's a bunch of parts in the movement that don't belong to it lol. I'm assuming the person ended up just slapping the watch back together after being unable to fix it and gave it back. I've seen more watches like these than I'd like to admit.

Thanks bro. Appreciate the feedback. The LWO is a temporary solution until I source a gen cal. 3126

if anyone has extra links for a 26170st bracelet, let me know

Looking forward to see it when it’s complete! You’ve come this far so gen caliber is almost necessary. ;)

The snow storm gave me some free time. Still have to spin the case to make space for the back gasket (you can see there's a gap between the case and caseback), but technically speaking I'm at gen thickness lol. Also added bevels to the underside of the case while I was at it.

Had a slight setback because of shipping delays, broken parts and date complication installation issues, but the movement runs for days at a time and the date flips over perfectly each time instead of halfway or not at all. Also this corrected the date wheel positioning. Clearly centered now. Nice patina too. :)

Summary of events thus far: When my watch wouldn’t set the time smoothly, I knew I had issues. I couldn’t even stick a new stem all the way in. So guess what? I had to dig out the broken tip of the stem that was lodged in the hole. After almost giving up I was successful by sticking a piece of ridico inside and grabbing it and the tip came out on the ridico. My heart melted after that. Wish I still kept the picture.

In addition to that, my setting wheel and clutch wheel had broken teeth due in part to the broken stem wiggling around the keyless works space. Parts were nowhere to be found, but I met a seller randomly by purchasing a genuine AP dress watch crystal online from someone who also sold 2121 parts and got replacements from him luckily. Just waiting on movement clips to finish this baby off. Waiting for 2 months now. I probably should consider them lost and purchase them from my other parts dealer.

Anyway, here is the same movement, but repaired and able to set the time and date smoothly.

Looks great!

Here is mine.

Im not really pleased with the jf crown. Any suggestions on what to replace it with?

What exactly is your gripe with the JF crown? The obvious alternative is the gen crown, I am sure you have considered that already?

I got a gen crown that includes a stem extender if you want it. It was installed in one of my frankens but I replaced it with a JF crown as it looked different to the other JF rubber parts (pushers and bezel)

Looks neat bro!

Mine is all gen except movement, dw, cyclop

Any difference to the gen ROO will not be obvious in real life.
Yes in forum, guys like QueTip and I can take frankens apart, but real life is where we wear our watches and your watch, even without those gen parts, will look convincing as a gen already.
How we build our watch is mostly to please ourselves, not to impress anyone else. You (and many other franken owners) have done a very good job already.
