The language and abusive nature of that e-mail sample keeps astounding me. I've bought lemons before, and did I whine, no, I sucked it up, sent it off to one of our watchsmiths, paid for the repairs and was done with it. I did not bother the seller...I consider it the cost of this hobby.
I have no plan to argue with you. You did what you did and I think it was completely the right thing do. But did you pay almost double the price for it? with the promise it will last a longgg time and then it just broke? And did your watchsmith fix it and it came right back broken? please tell the whole story. Just not a few lines.

totally agree with you. so private party sale can state whatever he wants?? interesting!

Misrepresentation if that occurred is one thing (I don't think it was misrepresented as Strodda is an excellent watchsmith), but there is no implied or express warranty, just like any other used item. If you wanted a warranty, you should have bought the new 029 from BK. If I sold a recently serviced piece, I would assume that it will run for years to come as expected, but there is no guarantee that will be the case.

And one example was I bought a watch with what was supposed to be a A2836, but ended up with a z2 movement in it. The movements look very similar, and I don't blame the seller, as he had no way to know....I did not realize it initially when I regulated it. Even some dealers sell it labeled incorrectly. I researched, figured out my options, paid for a swap to a gen ETA and have a beautiful watch with a reliable movement now. Did I expect this expense? No, but I rolled with it. That is my abridged story of one example.

With all due respect - i think this thread is intended to resolve 1 issue and 1 issue only - the return of funds from the seller to the unfortunate buyer. Many of us are waiting to get confirmation that you have in fact returned the money as instructed.

Anything else - is really not relevant to this thread. The mods will deal with it if they believe you have any justification to your claims. Regardless how much you paid, how badly you feel you were screwed, bla bla bla bla any other smug concept you can come up with - the one thing and ONLY thing you should not have done - was try to scam someone to make up for your supposed loss. And you did just that, and have now openly admitted to that.

To be honest - no1 here really cares about your hurt feelings or what you were thinking when making this sale. U have lost any and all credibility on this forum. Actions speak much louder than words and you sir have spoken loud and clear. What on earth made you think it was ok for some poor guy to inherit your problems? Is this how you act in the real world? Stop trying to deflect blame from yourself and put it onto Strodda and Heisenburg. U are in the brig because your a scammer. u got caught red handed. and its the only reason you are returning the money (Supposedly). If you weren't caught, you would go on thinking your actions were justified, i am certain of that based on how you continue to speak in this thread. U seem to be convinced that because u were 'wronged' u could screw some1 else over. Ohh my bad i am a scammer ... but look what they did to me ????? GTFU and stay out. Lowlife

It actually is fairly rare - there are not a lot of 029A series with relumed dials in decent (Noob) cases out there...

The 029M is the commonly seen watch. I personally much prefer the A series dial, at least once the crap DSN brown lume is fixed, which is why I bought the piece from Strodda in the first place.

And here is one of over 100 emails that went back and forth before the deal was done, when I explained to you in detail how the GMT worked and about the Asian movement that was installed. I misrepresented nothing so do not accuse me of doing so. I specifically said there was no warranty, but that Shane would likely take care of any issue that developed - which he ultimately did with me facilitating for you. And he would have done again, until you verbally abused him on your 'ass' tirade and other harassing emails you sent him.

I'm done dealing with you. Go take the White Phosphorus Challenge!

I hope you paid back @netsub who you admittedly tried to scam, which is what landed you here in the Brig.

And I feel sorry for Kat if he gets involved with you...

Yep...that was the one I bothered you about a couple of months ago. Ended up getting a new ETA from offrei, and strodda did the swap for me. It is amazing now. I cannot even hear it ticking or the rotor winding. Runs about +1 to +2 sec per day. It's my daily driver now... thank you for your help and guidance! You got me pointed in the right direction!

I just emailed the buyer to ask if he received the fund. I have nothing to hide and it was just 320 so I make sure he got it. Dave makes sure he got it. So don't worry if you are not the buyer.

Umm ... yeah thats not going to happen. We are a community and look out for one another. And you certainly have zero authority to tell us to keep out of it. Your actually quite lucky so far, i have seen brig threads get quite nastier than this one has so far. We will stop only when the buyer has confirmed that his money has been safely returned.

Ok it was my fault then! understood! Like I said whatever was carried on from this thread was just for your entertainment. Nothing more coz I know so damn well I will have to keep the watch! I can't sell it! and I can't set foot in RWI again! Ok i got it.
But I have learned my lesson here, and I want to share with all of you, maybe you know them already, maybe not:
1/ Rare build, rare mod, rare whatever don't mean or translate to higher price! it was just a pure emotional thing to somebody!. Proof? --> The so called rare A-series build that heisenberg used to love so much CAN NOT even get more than $300. The actually buyer wanted it for $300, there was another one wanting it for $280. I listed it for $425 before that and NOT even a single offer for it for a straight week! this is the hard fact. 90% of the people here in RWI don't understand or care about the mod, build etc. they just care about how much they have to pay for... It was for me also! I never expressed that I loved the A-series build, I bought it because I was interested in the just-serviced and the promise it lasts a long time.
2/ clone movement is a piece of shit! no more no less! I should have not bought it no matter what the price was. That was why I paid a lot more to get a BK sub. I even emailed heisenberg asking about adding more money to swap a ETA movement for the PAM029. I just want a decent working watch.
3/ 99% of people here don't feel bad for you for the fact that you just spent $600+ for a watch and enjoy it for 6 days! now it is a paper weight. (i know besides the fact that I was a scammer and asshole too, i got it)

Be reasonable here, I said sorry from the very first page, and promised to return the money. I did yesterday but paypal decided to give it ONE full day. What can I do about that? and the buyer didn't come here to confirm if he got the money, what can I do about it? I'm fully cooperated here, don't say it like I didn't try to fix thing. If you want the confirmation, I don't mind sending it to you to check.

Whatever happened before, the fact is you just tried to scam someone.

Your apologies are not sincere at all! You just say sorry because you got caught!

And I don't understand why you can't do a PP payment/refund within a few minutes... I use PP daily, and NEVER had a "day(s) long" payment, it should has be done 24h ago, at least...

You just deserve to be banned once buyer refunded, and it's too kind for ppl like you. Your behaviour here just reflects what you are irl...

Shame on you!
