The only thing I requested was insight to the process and standard practices . I have been an active participant on half a dozen photographic forums and have used buy and sell processes for years. I don t know my way around your forum or your standard practices or what to expect . It was helpful to understand that customs will send a letter when they seize something ..but it's not uncommon for this to take months . If I missed this in frequently asked questions ..well sorry . However I have made an effort to communicate in a reasonable manner with a trusted vendor and I expect better . For that reason I wanted to leave negative feedback ........not the handling of the seizure but the lack of clear communication on what to expect going forward .
Hi Roger,
I'll just give out some quick advice. Before you buy from any of the dealers here, it's always best to ask them before buying what their policies are. It's boring but asking them "what are your policies for customs seizures?" before buying can always help.
It's also best to read their sections, although I know Lucy's section is messy and it's hard to find information.
We may seem like a prickly bunch but I assure you it's just because the forum receives this kind of posts alot from many people.
I know it's hard but the best advice is to "sit tight and wait".
Hopefully Lucy can chime in on this thread too with some new information.
Again, welcome to the replica game/RWI and take some time to do your reading.
Cheers
