While I completely understand the risk that customs may take a shipment ....I don t accept the lack of response from Lucy . My order was produced and shipped to the USA and received at end of July . It went to customs and has never come out to be handled by USPS . Assumed that Lucy knows what she is doing in shipping replica watches . I asked her what should I expect . Do I just lose my payment ...is this an acceptable practice when buying a replica . NO RESPONSE IS UNACCEPTABLE . I am open to suggestions .

According to this, you don't need to worry:

She might need to confirm with her shipping company that the watch has actually been siezed by customs before doing anything else?

I hope it works out for you.

I personally would not assume responsibility if shipping a watch to another country. That's the buyer's risk to take, and as a seller I do understand that as well as a buyer. If a watch ends up at customs or is lost, it's an unfortunate but very rare occurrence.

All the more amazing is it that TDs assume responsibility for this risk. Lucy will eventually live up to her word, but I'm sure that it's not on the very top of her to do list. What she will most likely do is wait and hope the shipment will make it eventually to the recipient. That often happens after a long delay, so patience is required.

For the record and as I stated on the Help Ticket. You joined yesterday and bought in JULY. RWI staff will not render assistance.
My perspective ...followed forum and relied on the information provided . You specify Trusted suppliers . This is my first replica watch ... I have no experience to share anything of value . Had no idea joining was required to participate . I have been polite with Lucy and true time ....I understand the customs process well and have bought plenty of photographic equipment . Yes it's a long time and I have been waiting patiently . Low on her priority list ..seriously if that is standard practice for a trusted vendor ...why would anyone accept that . I simply asked ..oK waited patiently for months now ...what is the process ? Seems pretty reasonable to me . Not answering after emailing twice warrants negative feedback . For the record to ADMIN... I never asked you to step in or do anything expect post my negative feedback . Would have liked to know this if I was buying . I don t know the practices here and was just trying to learn what I should expect .

I didn't say you asked anything. Neither are you getting chastised for posting your feedback. What I posted is a general disclaimer to anyone who comes in and posts any issue when they buy the watch before joining RWI. This gets posted every time. It wasn't personal to you, just like anything else here. Let's settle down.

I understand the customs process well and have bought plenty of photographic equipment .
Photographic equipment is not illegal counterfeit goods, so the simile is very much incorrect.

Haven't deal with Lucy but in most cases dealers won't reship until you have evidence. You need a letter of seizure. That's how it honestly is. Without that letter of seizure there isn't any proof yet. Does it suck to wait? Yes. You may wait 1-2 months before you get a letter of seizure. Evidence is necessary. I lean to the point that your watch has been seized. But remeber that your packages can be held by customs INDEFINITELY. Until you get a letter of seizure, it's still fair game.

Onto the other point. First of all, you're getting flack because you just came here to complain. It leaves a bad taste on the community. You didn't feel the need to join the community before hand to contribute or discuss watches. You only came here for your (self serving) interest to buy a watch. Which is fine. But then you only made your account to start to complain or when things go wrong. If you did a little bit of reading you would know

RWI doesn't provide retroactive assistance to members. That's just how it is. Otherwise if the forum mediate.

*Otherwise if the forum mediates for every single person who buys from TDs without an account, the forum would be swamped with work.

I hope you do your research and reading, and become a participating member of the community.

You don t believe providing fact based feedback is valuable . As for background I purchased $100k s of photographic gear over the past 20years all over the globe . $500 is an insignificant loss to me and my time is worth a lot more ...I don t need anyone to intercede . Generally I have found that buyer feedback is very important to maintaining a safe and efficient buying process . I would often spend thousands to maintain a solid rating when selling photographic gear . If stuff happens I always took care of it . My primary feedback is that when encountering an issue ...it's the sellers responsibility to communicate what to expect . If the generally accepted process was the buyer takes the loss ... I am Ok with that . Wouldn't you want to follow up and expect a response . Lucy has an opportunity to respond and maybe the watch will show up someday .

The only thing I requested was insight to the process and standard practices . I have been an active participant on half a dozen photographic forums and have used buy and sell processes for years. I don t know my way around your forum or your standard practices or what to expect . It was helpful to understand that customs will send a letter when they seize something ..but it's not uncommon for this to take months . If I missed this in frequently asked questions ..well sorry . However I have made an effort to communicate in a reasonable manner with a trusted vendor and I expect better . For that reason I wanted to leave negative feedback ........not the handling of the seizure but the lack of clear communication on what to expect going forward .

Hi Roger,

I'll just give out some quick advice. Before you buy from any of the dealers here, it's always best to ask them before buying what their policies are. It's boring but asking them "what are your policies for customs seizures?" before buying can always help.

It's also best to read their sections, although I know Lucy's section is messy and it's hard to find information.

We may seem like a prickly bunch but I assure you it's just because the forum receives this kind of posts alot from many people.

I know it's hard but the best advice is to "sit tight and wait".

Hopefully Lucy can chime in on this thread too with some new information.

Again, welcome to the replica game/RWI and take some time to do your reading.

Cheers

Thanks to those that contributed to my understanding of standard practices and what to expect . No need to beat this to death . Let's see what Lucy has to say . Seems like she commits to responding to emails within 24 hours (which she doesn't ) and making customers whole if item is lost in transit (to be determined ) .

Just for laughs, did I try to censor this member's feedback? Cuz, I just got some accusations.
