I think it's just the angle.

I got another pic. I have leveled it and I think it looks fine. I think that the marker at 12 is a bit tilted, but I'm not sure to be honest.

I think that the orange numerals version is sold out only temporarily. I don't believe that they would kill this cow.. ;)

Just ordered a VSF CrPO (silver numerals edition) as my very first rep - huge thanks to everyone in this thread who have posted pictures and opinions! I'll be sure to post some photos when it arrives.

I thinks that is a good watch. Pearl is centered. I bet a tilted number is easier to repair than a misaligned pearl?

May be. But I'm f&#@in sick and tired of repairing every single goddamn rep I get. And I know for a fact that there are good ones out there.. I know my watchsmith wouldn't be willing to repair crooked markers, he hates this sort of jobs.
My problem with this piece is not the number 12 itself, but the marker above it.

What do you think about the back of the endlink, is this a reflection or is the metal darker?

Do you know if a micro adjustment clasp is available as rep? My VSF bracelet would benefit from it. It is hard to get it fit perfectly with half and full links.

I played around with it in an editor and the marker is a fraction of a degree off but better than most. At least the '12' and OMEGA applied text are virtually perfect. Those are usually the problems.

Thanks mate :)

I approved the QC pics after seeing this!

I'm sure it will be perfect in real life, it's not a big watch and the dial is pretty busy. I just hope that I get a good movement.

Thank you guys for your replies and opinions, I appreciate it!

I upset a TD by doing that grid check and felt guilty into accepting this one. I don't think it'll be as bad is it looks at 800% magnification :)

The other QC pics looked amazing. Be careful relying on such imagery - although you can adjust the rotation in image editing software the top-down pics are never perfectly aligned. Shadows can also deceive, especially in pics taken with so much light.Taking a 3D object and flattening it in 2D with a photo does skew things a bit. That '1' in the 12 is off quite a bit though, made worse by the OMEGA being tilted just slightly in the opposite direction. I think I can live with it.

I think that's infringing on grid QC checking software developed by tripdog

How much does your watchsmith usually charge on this types of repairs sir?

Nothing. He's done it once for free, but I had to promise never to ask him to do it again ;)

Train1 You took the QC check to another level, respect :_o_:

Maybe ask for a straight shot of the dial, but otherwise it looks good.

Is that true that second batch is having some flaws which were not on first?
