VSF VS3135 Submariner Comparison Against the Gen

Am pretty much waiting for the vsf lv version to come out, if they nail the rehaut properly this time i would def snap it up! Probably just needs a gen dw and its good to go...also for the price point, cant get any better

I'm waiting for a comparison of the ZZF and the VSF. The VSF seems like the clear favorite, but that wonky "R" on the rehaut bums me out every time I see it. I'm currently going back and forth between the VSF or the ZZF no-date. If VSF releases a no-date with a good rehaut, it's no question.

I already compared the vsf date to zzf no date earlier in this thread

I dare anyone to read this post without wanting to buy this VSF sub....

I wanna buy it but that off centered R on the rehaut just ruins it for me. If that’s fixed I’ll be on it stat, for now I’ll stay with my ARF v3 for now.

Wonder how polished the rehaut looks in real life, looks good in pictures!

The VSF Yachtmaster has a good rehaut, with the letter well centered.
Maybe it is just a batch problem, that will be corrected easily and fast.
I am guessing the Hulk will have a better rehaut...

The rehaut will be improved of that I have no doubt but I don't think the first letter shifted to the right is such a big problem like people in this thread are claiming( probably people complaining so such are the ones that wants rep with different serial # lol) . I rather have all the other things almost perfect like in this vsf than a perfect rehaut and everything else wrong.

I want to order LV too and I would like them to fix the R, but even more I care if they make a good dial with a dense and thick and not exaggerated sunburst.
Long ago I stopped buying sunburst rep because they feel cheap compared to gen. I prefer white or black dial, although I like them less, and more being a Hulk lover.

It's not a big tell it's like on ZZF v2s and v3 the last letter on the serial is not aligned. But it's less a problem as you don't see the serial when you look at the watch on the wrist but the R is much more visible when you look at yours watch it would bother me but its not a big issue at all. Depends on what you the the watch to be perfect to yours eyes I would say.

Right Tete the sunburst on my v2s is kind of light but no so bad, if they can do a bp dial + zzf markers would be such a killer

Exactly, at the end of the day we all have to choose with which flaws to live with. I rather have all the exteriors good and have a small flaw in the rehaut. I wonder however if anyone has tried shifting the movement a bit to try fixing the R flaw if that even works.

A few years ago I had a Hulk gen dial in my hand, from a watchmaker friend and if the ambient light or even the sun is not very intense, it looked almost matte with a very nice slight shine and when I gave it the intense light it emitted a nice gloss from black to dark green. I know that the process that Rolex uses for that is expensive and complicated, but I also have in the junk drawer several € 80 hulks from AliExpress and they perfectly simulate that, although with a horrible military green color. Let's trust VSF !!!

I'm also a hulk lover, and it very hard to imitate the spectre of green from very light to very heavy green almost black with different intensity. But when the shine goes to the watch the wide of the sunburst is so much bigger on the gen dial.
the bezel is also hard to replicate as it's so juicy and intense green
But if we can have 85-90% result for me it's ok as the gen watch Is very hard to find and so much expansive

In mine the crown was slightly to the right as well so it might work, can't take pictures of it because it's currently on the way to interaktiv to get gen dw, hands and crystal. Will ask him if is posible to do it and update you guys about what he tells me.

Imo VSF should release SMURF before the NODATE. Need that on christmas, we got zzf nodate wich is very good.
