Is this a downgrade on the last batch?
the side links of the end-link should NOT be flush.
they must stick out like gen.

Just got my QC for my white dial from Geektime. I was able to get a white dial with jubilee, which hasn’t been advertised.

Just received mine back from Nikz19 who plated the bezel with whitegold and mounted both the gen dial and crystal.

Really beautiful piece bro, congrats!

Nikz19 Amazing work, the plating is gorgeous.

Could you please describe for us the fitting of a 11xx flat plate dial on the VS3235 movement in the VSF case?

Below is a partial quote of an earlier post of mine expressing some concerns about this mod due to dial shape and case shape differences. I'm sure I'm not the only one interested in how you accomplished this so beautifully. Thanks!

The rep VSF DJ41 dials are like the gen DJ41 dials in that there are no dial feet, but there is a non-continious rim on the underside at the edge. This rim hugs the movement with a friction fit and tabs protruding from the movement prevent the dial from rotating in either direction.

Pics are borrowed from other threads

The rep VSF 126610 (and 126334) dials have a stairstep edge to them and the case is cut with a stairstep dial seat to fit the exact dial contour. I had never seen a dial like this before, with the stairstep face edge, and the non-continuous rim underneath, it's a much more elaborate construction than a flat plate dial.

So, if planning to use a flat plate dial, two things have to work

1. The replacement dial has to fit completely within the very narrow bottom step of the case's stairstep dial seat or there would be a gap between the dial and the rehaut

2. The dial can't have more extra space outside the minute tics than the very narrow width of that bottom step of the stairstep dial seat or you will have displaced (floating) minute tics.

Basically for the Sub, a replacement dial would need to be the same size, and have the same minute tic placement as what's on the upper flat level only of the Sub dial pictured above. A dial could be shaved to those specs but there is precious little room for error.

It's a 1:1 exchange, check the pompompurin post linked below.

Always fun to see your watch being used as a deterrent example. Just kidding. I will love it with it's flaws. Not sure if this answers your question but here is another pic from the same watch:

This is like GEN, super!!!

Thanks mate, appreciate!

Anyway it’s actually a direct fit. The VSF case with their VS3235 are perfect, the dial just drops in the movement. Friction fit.

Oh, good deal! That's a nice arrangement for the DJ41. Too bad the 11xx Sub dials aren't the same or I'd make a 126610 Hulk.

So, I'm on a verge of placing an order of gen bezel for my franken(gen dial, hand, dw, crystal and crown so far) and since it's a big investment, I'm obviously doing lot of research

And honestly, not really digging how these bezel look on some of the gen I've seen...

I mean.....I get it, They're gold so it's supposed to look a little yellowish compared to SS but still.....so freakin yellow and not really appealing to my eyes....

Thanks for the link bro.

Pom used a 12xx replacement dial though. That was why I was wondering about yours. Isn't your dial from a 116334? They used to have a 3136 movement I guess they switched to 3235 before becoming the 126334 and the next gen dials were used in those. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Nothing at all wrong with a 116334 dial in a 126334 especially one as beautiful as yours. I would do it in a heartbeat with a Hulk dial if it was a compatible shape.

I even did a mock up.

Anyway, great stuff we are all doing here. Loving this hobby.

Bezel is not fixed, still white. Luckily not an expensive fix, less 100 bucks and worth every penny. Makes all the difference, also compared to an ARF DJ41.

Have you seen the newer batches in real life? I know you bought the rhodium dial in the very beginning of VSF DJ41 saga and turned it into gen blue dial.

Unless you've seen the new batches in real life, I wouldn't be so sure to say so.

Here's a little quote from your comment earlier

"Forget the pictures, they never have a true colour representation."

If you haven't seen the new batches in person, you probably shouldn't be so sure about it. Cuz it sounds like your opinions are based on pictures as well and according to your own comment "pictures never have a true color representation" ;)

I did mate. I handled and modded a bunch of VSF datejusts.
It’s true they probably changed something on the bezel, it’s also true it has nothing to do with white gold and the difference is night and day. Anyone who ever seen white gold in person can tell.

They’re anyway proving to be a great factory.

I had a franken 36mm 116xxx DJ with gen fluted bezel before. Mine definitely turned more yellow or warmth color over great period of time but it was subtle color change. I may have worn it outside too much perhaps.

I can answer that his dial definetly isnt 116334 dial mate,116334 does have thicker lume markers,so 116334 would be wrong on 126334 case
