I do have both versions in my hand. my clean in servicing 😰the tube came off with the crown while im turning it.6 months old.i can tell you that the sub dial on clean a half tone darker than gen.( my client has a gen version so i had a chance to compared)vsf nailed the sub dial color.so if you say rehaut finishing isnt important you are totally wrong specially on black versions.that you can’t change.sub dials hand isnt accurate that we can change.crown dots isn’t correct that we can change.IF TO TRADE OFF DD MOVEMENT FOR SH IS VERY DUMB THING TO SAY.i can tell you right now sh need service as soon as possible.it is roughs and rotor heavy feeling.a few parts on SH movements isn’t fully clone like DD.so you tell me how accurate it could be?im not saying CF isn’t good but it is before VSF released.how many people could tell the lugs size different? but i can guarantee you the rehaut is the place many people can spot out.but however it is your personal choices.and i just saying the difference
can't agree more. My Clean failed when servicing, too - thats why I bought the VSF. And when getting the VSF I immediately recognized that the subdials are somewhat more shining - not a big difference but recognizable

I didn't say that the Rehaut finishing was not important. It just isn't as important to me as it is to you.
The Rehaut is an important detail for you, but the Lug Shape is important to others. Both are details that you can't change.
If the Rehaut is as good or better than my Clean 116500, then I will be happy.

You really don't have to call me Dumb just because my experience and research is different than yours.
I said before that I first preferred the DD4131, but my QC pictures all showed a possible problem with the Large Chrono Hand.

I think that you somehow missed my biggest point...
- My QC pictures showed the Large Chrono Hand aligned slightly off center on two different VSFs.
- I found a number of other VSF 126500 pictures that showed the same Hand slightly off center.
- Another Member told me that both of his VSF DD4131s have this same issue. He said that the Hand can move slightly, all of the time, just by tilting the watch from side to side.
- In the quote from a TD below, they mention that Clean put an extra effort into fixing "problems like chronograph hand wrongly zeroing on SH4130" and they say that "The stability of this movement is much better after testing". This was said almost a year ago, long before the running improvements to the V2 SH4131 were made by Clean.
- It sounds to me like Clean has put some extra effort into making sure that the Chrono hands work properly.

Thank you for your input Sir... If this is what I get, and the Large Chrono Hand stays centered, then I will be happy with my choice.
I apologize to said dumb.but i really dont mean that aggressively just the way i tried to mention that is important can missed that.yes of course it totally personal choices.i have both version and just tried to explaining my experiences with both versions.

I’ve been searching all over the place for more info/pictures regarding VSF’s thin lugs, but I still can’t figure out how to tell the difference… can anyone guide me?

I did read Steve’s comparison, but I really don’t see any difference from the pictures…
you are not alone  - if lugs matter don't bother and go with VSF - (if not done check also #655 of this thread)

I understand.
If I had a "high end" replica movement break or if the watch started to fall apart as you described, I would be strongly warning others too.

I just received my Clean 126500 today. The movement winds as smoothly as my DD4130 but with slightly more resistance. Rotor noise is about the same with both watches.
I was optimistic that the SH4131 is getting better... or maybe I just got lucky.

I do prefer the Deep Crystal on my 116500 to the standard Clean 126500 Crystal, so that's the only thing that I would change.

Guys - does anyone know what position the crown needs to be in if I wanted to remove the stem from the 4131 movement? Is it winding position?

There is no appreciable difference, if indeed any difference. People have a habit of repeating things verbatim with little first hand knowledge.

I own the SBF Panda with the cheaper, but legit movement. It is the best rep I have ever owned. Almost to the point where I could exit the hobby now…

I wrote this somewhere a while ago. Best reply I've ever had in my hands.

Question:

I have seen a number of watches with the chrono hand off by 1/8th of a second. I was wondering, can't you just run the chrono and stop it at the perfect point and leave it there? Would that cause any injury to the movement? I have the white 126500LN (SL-4801) and just tried to get it to stop at the perfect spot and it was not that difficult. BTW, I'm really loving this watch.

(I mean, how often do most of us use the chrono function. I know that I never do.)

If you are replying to me, that's not what I mean. I agree with what you said @peterpl . Personally I think mine is perfect. I was talking about people who, earlier in this thread, had concerns about the chrono hand being a little off.

My question was; Is there a danger of letting the chrono run until you can get the pointer perfect, and then holding it there? You can get it to perfect, but is not re-setting the chrono going to cause a long-term problem?

(edit: forgot the question mark)

Now your 3 o'clock subdial isn't pointing at 12 o'clock

To answer your question, no - it will not damage the movement. But you’re replacing a problem which you most likely won’t have, with one you definitely do - the subdial hand now looks like it was stuck on by a 3 year old. Which it probably was, but still…
