VSF New Release of 114060 No Date Submariner!

I have been wearing my new VSF 114060 for about a month now and I love it! I was wearing a cheap dhgate one before (first rep) and the difference in quality and feel has just blown me away. I work face to face with a lot of people everyday and when they would compliment my old watch I would feel nervous and anxious about it. I would always just said “thank you” and moved the conversation on but it was always a somewhat nervewracking event for me. Since putting this new watch on I feel much more confident about it. I know it is a silly thing but it is important to me since my profession is very superficial and image based. But there’s no way I’m going to spend $10k on a watch while VSF is still on the market!

It's amazing what a good rep can give you. And yes, spending $10k on a sub doesn't seem very smart when VSF's are around.

It's at least 1 min/day. I bought a demagnetizer and we'll see. I hope it's the origin of the problem. The "compass" test was not really conclusive but with an iOS app which detects magnetic fields I had the feeling of visiting Chernobyl with a Geiger counter ;-) So, with a bit of luck...

How many microteslas was the phone app reading? I am in a similar situation my watch got magnetized I believe from leaving it next to my vape. I have demagnetized it multiple times but it is still running fast. It will not show any reading of magnetization after demagging it but when I check it again later it is magnetized. One strange thing I noticed it one of the bracelet links went crazy when I scanned it for magnetization, even though the watch itself was supposedly magnetization free. Later on it will be magnetized again. Since learning about magnetic interference on watches I have been leaving it away from all electronics and magnets at night. At first watch was 30 spd fast and then after demagging it was fine but now it is at 20 spd fast. When I try to demag the bracelet the watch becomes magnetized again and vice versa. I don’t know how to remove the bracelet and am worried i will scratch it and haven’t really tried so I have been leaving it attached when I put the watch through. Could it be that magnetized link is remagnetizing the watch? I was also under the impression that stainless steel could not be magnetized. I am at a loss! Next I am going to try removing a pin so that I can lay the watch completely flat, taping it to a piece of cardboard and running it though the device instead of punching the bracelet together on one side and feeding the dial in. I have the tunnel version of the demagnetizer. Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I was recently offered a VSF 40mm 114060 with VS3130 (made at Dandong) movement. K25 serial number with 7GJ clasp code. So glad I bought it after reading this thread. Can’t wait for it to arrive tomorrow.

Long time lurker here - have spent plenty of time with the gen (and I don’t have the best eye) but this is indistinguishable, especially once accounted for the multiple variations across different versions

Very happy with it. glad I also found someone locally who is very passionate about watches and is willing to share knowledge.

There is a VSF 124060, but is has the VS3235 movement. Excellent movement, but it means the watch has a ghost date position. As far as a VSF 124060 with a VS3230 movement goes, I'm waiting patiently.

Currently Clean is my prefered choice for the 124060, and while this VR3230 is a good movement, it's technically not a clone. It's a hybrid and lacks the 60-70 hour power reserve. If that doesn't matter to you . . .

10K can get you a 2nd hand Speedmaster and 2nd hand Grand Seiko if you search around for good deals and willing to go used.

Zero regrets, would do it again in a heartbeat.

Don't care about scratches and dings, I abuse it more than reps I had as I know it'll take more and I don't have to be so careful.
