While the rep look good, the dial is WAY off. (and it's 41mm size, which is ok)

Maybe he's comparing the location of date and other things on the dial? Or maybe this specific special 007 model?

I have the blue dial VSF Aqua Terra.

I can sit here comparing it next to stock photo all day long... only difference I notice on stock photo is the cut around the crown is *maybe?* off a little? I think it's because of angle of the photo, if I turn my watch in the slightest it looks perfect.

I think I know what you guys mean by the dial.
The gen dial has the 3D pattern stamped into the dial, but then the whole dial is covered with a thick gloss coat so the surface of the dial is smooth and very reflective.
But the photos of the rep is straight on so these reflections are much less noticeable and it makes the dial look more matte. One of the dealers sent me a quick video and from what I can see the rep dial is finished like gen too (surface of the dial is flat with gloss coating).

I've been itching to get my hands on an VSF omega with their new clone movement and I really think this one is ticking all the boxes so far...

actually I have found a video with closeups of the dial which shows the pattern is actually not 3D, the shield logos are printed onto the dial:

after some additional closer examinations of the dial, it looks like I'll porbably be giving this a pass.
From the video I posted above, it looks like the gen dial, is a blue sunburst dial, with the pattern printed on, then given a gloss overcoat.

intime has more pictures now and the patten on the dial does indeed look 3D, and it is a flat navy colour, possibly metallic, and no sign of the sunburst finish.

Oops, for this particular dial model, VSF really did a mistake.

The repeated shield shape pattern on the VSF rep is actually a different shape compare to Omega Genuine model’s dial.

Sad!

For VSF rep, The each edge of the shield shape is “angled” like a brick block.

For Gen, the each edge of the shield shape is “rounded” like a typical shield shape. Two shield shape meets together to become a rounded rugby ball shape.

note sure what you mean, the shield pattern in terms of shape looks correct. but from the macro shots from PT future confirms the lack of sunburst and the incorrect manufacture process. The VSF dial has the shield pattern debossed into the dial, while we can see the gen is actually printed on. Looks like VSF didn't have access to a gen and just relied on pictures to make the dial. Looks like they didn't find the macro shots of the gen dial.

There are some serious QC issues too, look at the Ω and the G on the logo on puretime's pictures:

ahh ok I see what you mean now, but even the curved edges of the shield on the gen are really subtle. given their size on the dial the shape is not going to be as noticable.
IMO the bigger issue the is how the pattern is created and the finish of the dial, it's immediately obvious that there is a huge difference between the gen and the rep, the gen is very glossy and reflective while all the pictures of the VSF dial is matte.

needless to say i think the dial is the biggest flaw of this model here, and that's just so disappointing. I was really looking forward to a clone 8500 rep, but none of the other really stood out to me , I really thought this one was going to be it..

I just told VSF maker about the dial difference, and he told me that you guys need to see the whole watch and genuine one in hands, not 10x large pics of the dial, or just look from pics.
VSF version is very close to genuine one...

However, it was only 2x large size picture of the actual dial size on a mobile phone screen, easy to point out the flaw of the dial, not really crazy 10x magnified of the actual dial size.

The pattern shape is quite different between Gen’s “rounded and curved” vs VSF rep’s “sharp edge angled and straight line block shape” which cannot be ignored.

The pattern shape is just wrong and different compare to Gen’s pattern.
