That did work, but don't these movements have a setting to just move the date wheel only? Also, does the movement get damaged at all but jumping though so many dates and moving the hour hand so many times?

Yes, that’s why omega designed it exactly that way. They wanted to ensure that the movement would break from setting the date. Sarcasm

Here is the image of my light blue dial one :) logo seems to be a bit tilt up on the right side. But I think thats only visible when zooming in really up close.

Overall I am really happy with the looks of it.

Let me know what you think :D

PS. sorry for posting just a link but my work PC is giving me a headache :p

Looks OK to me. Is the color really purplish or is it the lighting? The Gen is slate grey/blue not light blue...

It wouldn't bother me so much either.
What's the special price you got for a new strap, and was it with the buckle also?
As reference, I ordered a seperate vsf strap with buckle and paid US $30 for it, might be good to know if you decide to order another one.

They quoted me $48 for a new strap (including shipping). Kills me considering this wasn't in the QC issues. Is there anywhere I should post this just as a heads-up to others?

Seamusflood : Thanks for posting these photos! This is the deep blue color, right? How's the sunburst effect in the sunshine?

If that price is including shipping it's not so bad after all.

Man those blue dials are horrible looking, how do they factories not check the colour during quality control process. Almost $400 for a purple aqua terra no thanks...they need to learn to get the easiest part right.

You can find them on dhgate and aliexprees for around $30 shipped.

Yes I know that you can get similar straps from there in that pricerange, it might be the same I don't know, but bought alot of crap straps (some good though) in my days from ali and dhgate so I stay away from there regarding straps now.
When ordering a strap/clasp direct from my TD on here atleast I know what I will get and that it will fit the watch.

It's a valid point. And for $48 its not bad. But I once got quoted $78 for a simple stap (and $108 for a bracelet) at this price, I like trying my luck. Of I avoid the cheapest I usually get great quality and asking the seller if the claps has the logo or not, also help to know.

If they’d have sent the strap they said they were going to, it wouldn’t be costing him anything. It’s a bit off of the TD to send QC pics and then send a different strap.

Mind you, Trusty Time have sent me the wrong size bracelet before (20mm vs 22mm). And once they even sent me the wrong watch (despite claiming on their website that it’s never happened) lol

I know that even our TD's can make mistakes, but doesn't happen so often, in this case it might just be a mistake.
One advice to trickenicke725 if he doesn't come in agreement with the TD that he ordered the watch and strap from, is to contact an admin on here an ask for help.

Assuming they actually send you QC pics of the exact item they are going to send you

Yes, they can and they do, they're only human. Not sure why they think it's ok to offer to send him a replacement, and charge him for doing so. I'd be interested to know which TD it is, so I can avoid using them.

Ok, regarding both qoutes then, in this case it might just be a mistake, it's most often just that and not a TD that missbehave and send wrong stuff on purpose.
And if our fellow member on here is not pleased with the offer to correct that mistake, I'm asuming that it is a mistake, then it's the normal way after you have talked with the TD to ask for help from one of our admins.
I for my part doesn't need any QC from the TD on here that I'm using and have used for some time.

We're clearly not going to agree. They haven't offered to correct their mistake, they've offered to sell him another strap. As to whether they sent the wrong strap on purpose, who knows, but they didn't send him the one they sent him QC pics of. That's enough to make me avoid them.
