VSF Hulk comparison with Genuine and ZZF

Good day guys! I have done a simple photo comparison with my 2014 Gen LN model with my current VSF hulk. Pls note that these are just the opinion of a layman and what I can see based on my own judgement. I'm not the type to bring out the calipers or make line drawings on the computers to see if the markers are off by a fraction of a degree. Just took the photos for curiosity and to share here on the forum hoping it can benefit others. The VSF hulk will always be on the left or top. Well, here goes!
BEZEL
The shape and angle of the bezel cutouts looks very similar to the gen. Or at least I can't tell just by looking within eyeshot. The way the bezel turns has a surprisingly very gen feel, with a little more back play than the gen. However I noticed the numerals of bezel insert of the gen are slightly thicker and deeper than the VSF. This was quite apparently and I took photo of each numerals for COMPARISON. I'm not sure The font and size are pretty on point.
PEARL
The ring around the gen is slightly thicker and the colour is slightly more yellowish. Not sure if the colour difference is due to the age of the gen sub.
CASE AND CROWN
The case, crown guard and crown looks pretty much on point. The quality of finishing, thickness and feel is great.
BRACELET AND CLASP
The finishing of both are pretty close but somehow the gen sub bracelet is slightly darker in colour. Not sure if it's due to the age of the gen sub. The crown on the clasp for both looks on point in shape and size. The VSF is slightly tighter and needs more strength to unlock.
CRYSTAL AND CYCLOPS
The cyclops of the VSF works great in normal natural light. It does reflect and cast shadows more in bright light. The magnification is slightly less than my gen sub but overall it does a very good job vs previous versions.
DIAL AND HANDS
I think I got lucky cause previously some others were saying about how their VSF hour hands had thicker steel margins but mine seems pretty on point vs the gen sub. I can't see any distinguishable differences just by looking at it. Like I said, I'm not going into the super details but just by whether a normal person would notice looking at both of them. I looked out for thr crispness, tone and colour of the printings on the dial and the VSF looks on point so far. I didn't compare the fonts as I know these change with different versions of the gen. There are slight differences of the engravings on the rehault. The gen sub looks deeper upon close inspection. Not sure how else to describe it. I included a lume comparison and the colours and brightness looks on point!
MOVEMENT
The winding is super smooth and the date clicks over dead centre every time. The movement quality feels solid.
Overall I feel the VSF was an excellent purchase. I love the watch so far and it feels very gen like. It hasn't come off my wrist so far in the past 5 days and I have almost 10 other watches! I also have a noob v7 sea dweller and the difference if quality is quite noticeable. For those who also rocking the VSF hulk, wear in good health!

i am very enthusiastic about my VSF rep, I know rep watches and I have never been as happy wearing one before, it doesn’t feel like wearing a rep at all. A good number of others have agreed, perhaps you should pick one up yourself to see what the fuss is about. Sorry if it’s upsetting anyone, I’ll tone down my evangelism. I just want others to experience what I know they will like. Too often I’ve bought reps and they look and feel like replicas.
If/when they release a new 12 series sub i will be grabbing one.

I hope they do 12 series, but I really hope they give us a SS BLRO/Pepsi, I’m waiting on someone to get that right. R factory will not let me have one sadly, been waiting since release 3/4yrs ago. I can afford market price and black market, but not grey.. lols!

I keep looking at the rehaut engravings on the vsf and fail to see the 'double lined' engraving that one sees on the gen. I went and looked at my noob v10 and while that rep has been surpassed, it still had the double lined engravings on the rehaut.

Forgive me if I'm mistaken as I have no clue about this personally, but I think I've read on the forum frequently that for the last couple of years, Gen rehaut has been single line engraved. Someone who knows for sure will clarify no doubt.
I too would like to know that. I haven't seen that mentioned elsewhere, so it would be nice to put that part of my ignorance to rest... :baby2:

There have been 3 versions of rehuats on submariners throughout the 11 series. Double lined, single dark lined, current is single silver lined. Go look at some early 116610 on Chrono24, you'll spot a few variations of font too. R factory keeping making subtle changes.
