To my fellow RWI Seamaster 300m enthusiasts, my 300m with the V2 bracelet QC has been accepted so it is in the process.

I’ve read that the metal bracelet can be a little hefty at times for the faint of wrist like me at times.

Did some research for the rubber strap. The way I was thinking is that this 300m model is still fairly new and there hasn’t been that much time yet for the different grades of quality to appear for the rubber strap.

Look at the pics what they say from the first 2 reviews.

All markings and logos, and NOT silicone - must be identical to the $88 add on option at the TD’s for a little over $20.

Enjoy!

That one is for the old 300m, and it's not identical, the last hole is not a triangle.

Mine just showed up today. I have not had time to take pics yet, but I will. I can confirm that it is a very nice rep. I've had 40+ watches over the past 2 years and I am thinking that it is one of the nicer ones

Think I'm sold on the black version. Can't decide bracelet or rubber.

On my other reps I have generally steered away from the bracelets as the ones in my gmt and sub felt cheap and I replaced with leather.

Anyone care to chime in with views?

Quick pic of my Sinn 104 for no reason at all.

Cheers

I love the bracelet and quality is excellent! Plus for micro adjustments aswell! I would have kept it on if I didn’t have the gen in bracelet.

If I were you I would go for bracelet and maybe buy rubber down the line.

Always get a watch on a bracelet, rep or gen. It's MUCH cheaper to buy other straps later on, than buying a bracelet.

for gen, yes. for rep - not in this case.

The rubber is so expensive, the bracelet is around the same price. I've got it on rubber and Sead advised c.80 for the bracelet.

It's me asking for your help again. TD came back with updated pictures... Date is off on some numbers (bad on 13). But I think I might approve it. What do you think?

I don't think it's that bad, there are shadows that make it appear worse than it is. You wouldn't notice it if it was the black dial version.

I'd accept that.

There are always exceptions. This is a clear sign that the rubber is way overpriced and that they're milking us like idiots. It's a piece of rubber FFS..

There is no way these rubber straps cost more than $10 to make & I think it is actually more like $5 including the clasp.

Borealis, Toxic NATO, etc are selling this type of strap in the $20-$40 range. That means they buy them for around $10-$20 & the manufacturer makes them for $5-$10. I just don't see how they have a cost that justifies $88 for a $5 piece of rubber.

I guess with that said, Rolex sells a Sub for like 8k or 10k and people but them even though their cost can't be more than a few hundred, right?

Yup. The 25€ Borealis strap is by far the best rubber out there. The buckle looks brand new after 2 years of use. Those VSF rubber straps for Omega PO don't come anywhere near quality wise.
