Yessir, I am a confused noob asking for your expertise.. I am specifically looking at these 2 models:
https://www.intime05.co/omega/6058-...ubber-strap-a8800-v2-black-balance-wheel.html
https://www.intime05.co/omega/6354-...ck-bezel-white-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a8800.html

To my limited knowledge, both seem to be 42mm, solid 316L stainless steel case, VSF, and have a date.
Other than the obvious differences from the links (2019 VSF comes in a white dial, and the 2018 in a black dial) -- are there any other important differences/improvements?

Thank you for your time and help!

No, basically they are the same but with different colors/bracelet

So sorry.....
I was confused as the way you asked the question originally confused me. The white dialed watch is exactly the same as the black except for the dial color. Both dial colors are available on either rubber strap or on bracelet.

Hi guys,

just received my QC, but i am mot really comfortable with the lume color.
i know there has been a lot of questions from other people in the thread asking whether the color is right,
but i just want to know what your opinion on my QC,

it looks slightly yellowish in some lighting condition, but looks perfect under the bright lighting too.
what do you think?
i am really not sure about it.

My QC pics look like they suffer from yellowish lume problem. No?

Yeah looks like mine too..
but not sure, because the youtube video by watchfinder also shows a slight yellowish lume.

can someone also confirm that thats how it looks like on all rep or even on gen?

This issue has been discussed at length throughout this thread. I don't mean this in a snarky way just fyi- but if you go back you'll see tons of examples of this. Lighting plays a huge factor. And also the lume on these is particularly reactive. I've bad it outside for literally 1 minute and practically became radioactive with its luminescence. Pardon my hyperbole, but it really is far more pronounced than on my other watches... and this is what gives it this off-white color that people are so concerned about.

And yes, even gens are not pearly white 100% of the time. Anyways, you'll hardly ever notice and it doesnt pop out like something is "wrong." Mayyybe if you have a white dial because of the contrast but I'll let others speak to that. I have blue and black dial and it has never bothered me once.

^ this. The two QC examples above look like good examples to me. Mine looked the same in QC and in the flesh (photos a few posts above) it looks great.

It's perfectly normal that lume gets activated in certain conditions and that very often watches appear different in photos than in real life. Here's mine, while taking my pooch out to take a crap a couple of minutes ago.

Thanks Guys.
I ahve decided to approve the QC.
The lume might look a little bit yellow, but i am quite happy to see how crisp white it looks under the bright lighting.
At least it gives me hope that it will look okay.

Here is a pic of some gens from the Omega forum. Gens also have this issue.

This is a great example of exactly what many of have been saying all along. Even if the lume turns out to be more yellow than you would like, this is not a reason to Red light a QC of this one as they are all the same way. They use the same Lume on all of them and they are all going to look the same. If you don't like the way it looks you have a few choices: a) don't order the watch, b) buy it and live with it, c) buy it and flip it or d) buy it and have it re-lumed.
