Since a few years when peacock entered the competitors market its getting insane compared to the yuki rolex clones for example, yes
That movement is tempting but 40mm is no longer an Explorer. Pass for me.

I don’t like the 40mm in the first place
The 36mm is great and I want one.
Why?
Well the modern style explorer has a small smooth bezel, a black dial and huge 3-6-9 numerals in shiny
At 40mm, the dial looks oversized and wrecks the proportions
The rep is awesome, don’t get me wrong.
Just that I don’t like the gen in the first place
Similarly I dont like the 11 Sub because it’s boxy, but I like the 12 Sub with slimmer lugs
Does this never end? I literally just ordered the new Explorer 2s, and now I need this one too…

Another watch to be added to the list. This and a clean white dial explorer 2, it does not end does it 
Last generation was 36mm (114270) and 39mm (214270). Newest generation is 36mm (124270) and 40mm (224070). Not much difference in the two, the newer 40mm is (obviously) larger, with slightly different proportions, and moves the "EXPLORER" from the 6:00 position to the 12:00 position on the dial.
40mm 224070 on left.________________________________________________________________________39mm 214070 on right.
Lugs on the new one are 21mm as well, rather than 20mm on the older one.
