Do you know if the VRF will take a Gen crystal? Then my watch would be just perfect :)

Great job! I am looking for a gen crystal too, and perhaps a better dw, mine is not perfectly centered in most days.

So I might sell the Noob, with VR3185 inside and MK1 insert from my VRF watch.

I am a bit confused with all different movements in the VRF Pepsi,s

do they use the “best in current market reliable “ VR3186 movement ?

I really want a Pepsi with noob inlay and gen DW and a VR movement..
But not a modified CHS time bomb .

pls help me what i should do?

Its easy. There is only one reliable and genlike GMT rep movement: VR3185. This is the „title-name“ of that movement at RWI. This movement is used in the watches from VRF. In the VRF Pepsi with Jubilee (126710) this movement is branded as (VR)3285, as per gen. In the VRF Pepsi with oyster bracelet (116719) this movement is branded (VR)3186, also as per gen. Both watches are great. But they only come with the brighter MK1 insert.

The Noob Pepsi looks great, comes with the great „darker“ MK2 insert. Disadvantage: The movement is just a modified ETA with CHS with a weak construction. It will break. Time bomb.

I have a Noob where my watchsmith transplanted a VR3185. Looks akd works great. I also have a VRF watch. I like the VRF over the Noob because the dial and hands looks better on the VRF. So I just swapped the Noob insert onto the VRF. Done.

You could buy both watches and just swap Noob insert to the VRF.

Well said bro. Only thing I would add is the GMF insert looks better than the VRF and they can be sourced separately so that's an option for anyone who might buy the Noob minus the Noob insert.

thanks for your clear explanation, really appreciate that!

so they basically use the VR3186 movements but only with other engravings?
But all 3 are basically same reliable VR movement’s?
pls correct me if I am wrong but if I looking om dealer website they called these movements “ Asian super clone movements “

I will attach some pictures to be clear

Yes, forget what the TDs write in the description.

VRF factory for all they GMT master II uses the same movement, a clone of the 3185 rolex.

For sake of cloning gen, on the 116...series they engraving 3186, on 126... They engraving 3285.
Movement is the same for all.

For the Pepsi it's your only option to have a reliable movement.

Note that this applies to VRF only, which is afterall the topic of this post.

GMF also makes a Pepsi with a new true clone "SA3285" movement, which is a GMT mod based on the SA3186.

https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...298-gmf-v3-asian-clone-3285-movement-released

And of course the Noob Pepsi (and all Noob GMTs) come with a 2824 CHS timebomb.

Thanks a lot!
so when I the VRF Pepsi on jubilee bracelet.
I will get the VR 3185/3186/3286 there all the same movements only engraving is different is that correct?

I have ordered a noob ceramic inlay wich will take a month,
don’t have any rush since I don’t even have the watch.
A gen DW will fit the VR movement without any mods if I am understand it well?
And a gen xtal will also fit without modifications or need to use the VRF GASKET instead of the gen?

what about the bracelets, what is best GMT jubilee bracelet on market right now?
and does it fit properly on the VRF case?

best regards and thanks in advance

That‘s what I might consider now.

I like both insert styles, but I think I prefer the MK2 (right) over the MK1 (left).

So I might sell the Noob, with VR3185 inside and MK1 insert from my VRF watch.

for me...the ultimate is the one on the right. after seeing both. I can't live with the rest.....so now I have issues. maybe ARF can save the day.

Hi everyone,

I was fortunate to buy a noob inlay,
And have ordered a VRF Pepsi with jubilee.

Now have some questions:

1. Are the VRF and noob inlays have the same thickness?

2. Are these Both glued?

3. What kind of glue is best to use to attach the noob inlay?

4. What’s the best way to remove the VRF INLAY?

5. Any other advice is welcome, and also any suggestions to upgrade the VRF Pepsi 3285 jubilee to get it more gen like would be welcome!

And want to mention that this thread was very helpful to me but before I ordered the VRF I want to be assured that I will have the noob inlay..
So a big thanks to anyone who’s added great value to this thread!

Will updated when all arrived!

Noob insert will fit in VRF bezel, similar thickness. Both are glued in. Remove VRF bezel then pry insert out gently from underneath. Use 3M double-sided tape to re-adhere.
