Hear what you're saying Airking. I'm sure we all know the reference is to muslim extremists.
I work with one muslim from Bosnia and have two muslim friends from Turkey. We respect our differences and do not let those differences ruin our friendship.
I hear what everyone has said and steady weighing all of it... Along with considering that nut that cut the Lady's head off this weak in Oklahoma was hollering pro Islamic statements while he was committing his horrible crime... Here is a possible explanation as to why we're seeing the full gamut from tolerant Muslims all the way to extremist... I'm not saying I agree with the author but he claims it's a five step process in spreading Islam globally and the first step involves Muslims blending in and seemingly act as regular folks until a sufficient number have penetrated a society.... Here let me list his first step:

This is the ol' girl 40yrs later. I try and make sure she has plenty of exercise by doing loads of washing and ironing, hoovering and general housework. Cutting the grass and yard work is another good way to help them keep fit.
You're acting like there arent extemists in every other religion and beheading is something muslims invented. I read somewhere that the last beheading in europe was done in france in the 1977 which is not that long ago.
One of the issues is that unlike the other religions, there was no real reform that took place in islam. So for one, islam is going through a reform within itself. But in addition to that, fundamentalist ideals have been spread on purpose to militarize certain groups.
Examples:
1. During the formation of saudi arabia, ibn saud took an extreme version of islam and used brute force to get the Bedouin tribes to unify (under 'religion') into what is called saudi arabia. And even til today, saudi arabia is controlling its people through extreme religious views that dont even allow the acceptance of varying view points.
2. During the 80s, the US government supported extremest religious views to militarize the Afghans against the soviets. Ever seen Rambo 3? And after the soviets were defeated, the taliban ideology stayed unfortunately.
3. And even now, who do you think the western powers gave all the arms to to fight the asad regime in syria? Its unfortunate, but us westerners armed the extremists and encouraged their ideology to get rid of asad. Unfortunately, this didnt work as planned and now you have this crazy group making a mess in iraq.
Just look at how maccarthy got people to fight against communism or how hitler got germans to commit horrid acts during ww2. You'll notice parallels to today where they used extreme religious viewpoints to justify violence and militarize the masses.
In the midst of these global issues, there are unhappy and confused people who lash out in extreme ways. If you analyze their lives, you'll find they did those violent acts for similar reasons like those crazy people who were involved in the various school shootings.
You can believe that there is a mass conspiracy where muslims are trying to infiltrate western society if that makes sense to you but if you scrutinize that theory, i bet it wont hold up.
It doesn't matter to me if a person kneels down and prays towards Mecca five times a day or worships a god that passes out magic underwear and lives on the planet Kolob...I could care less! I just don't believe in a god that would require men to carry out crimes or acts of violence against other men in order to force conversions while he/she/it sits idly by and does nothing... This sounds more like lies made up to further man's greedy agenda and a bunch of brainwashed nuts that are incapable of knowing right from wrong because their moral compass has been so covered by lies for so long that they've lost their ability to think for themselves and blindly carry out whatever sick act their controllers wish for them to do...
There's a huge difference in being sent to the Guillotine in 1977 as Capitol punishment for horrible crimes and some lunatic screaming "Alluha Akbar!" while sawing a persons head off with a butcher knife in the middle of a workplace in Oklahoma.. or in Syria or wherever... I'd suggest, that if Islam is truly a religion of love and peace, we should be seeing an enormous cry from it's followers denouncing these atrocities,,, so far the greater majority has been silent,, that also makes me wonder?
