I recieved my White version yesterday and was very pleased. However when wearing it today the clasp fell apart sometime during the day so now when I was trying to remove the watch in the evening I wasnt able to, using the clasp. I ended up having my wife pushing in one of the quick release buttons to get it of!
Is the clasp of this poor quality or have I gotten a bad sample? How can I solve this? Obviously the missing endpiece and bar? (looks asif there should be 4 bars?) is gone, somewhere in the kids playground

I don't understand this "which TD?" business...

TDs do NOT make/produce/assemble watches.

They only sell watches made by different factories ( VSF, Clean, V7F ).

It's like asking which supermarket sells the best Coca-Cola.

So the clasp will not fall apart if you get it from a certain TD, it was just this member's bad luck. V7F does not send shitty units to one particular TD.

This thread is about IWC Ingenieur made by V7F. So I'd presume that the watch in question is a V7F watch.

I am pretty sure sometimes TD do get inferior rejects from factoryto save cost.
So it would be good to note certain recurring patterns. Just now thoughts

I dońt tell the name of the TD, but itś not his fault.
I buy since many years from this guy and he always sorts the problems out.
He also try to get me a clasp from the factory..
Hopefully the factory is fixing the problem.

I dont think he took the time to read or watch the pictures I sent him though as there is nothing to locktite!
I will keep talking to him and see whe he says.

That's very nice to hear :)
Same here. I always go to the same TD for such reason so that he will try to help whenever there's a problem

The V7 Ingenieur really seems to be the perfect rep:

- Solid caseback
- ETA clone - can be swapped with a gen Sellita or ETA, if it dies
- Gen Ingenieur is freaking expensive, but still attainable (not like a AP RO)
- Seems to be really well build
- V2 quickly solved the minor flaws

I really cannot find any downsides to this model...

I think the midlinks dont have the same polish as the gen, no?
Is this just my V7 or all of them? Its basically the same finnish as the rest of the bracelet

As someone who owns the IXDAO Engineer in Aqua/Turquoise, my only 'complain' is that the Dial doesn't quite have the same sheen of vibrancy that the real one has.
I've seen reviews of the genuine Ingenieur and it seems to really burst to life under the sun.
I hope the rep would been able to replicate said depth of colour.. may be the difference between a 'NWBIG' and a 'Pretty good' rep.

I really want to see a comparison between v7 and ixdao. I have 3 ixdao and they are great. Black, mop blue dial & grey. I keeping send ixdao messages asking if they will do a titanium version but no plans too. With TD's being out of stock this watch must be popular so you would think they would produce the titanium version. I understand titanium is harder to work with.
