I've got the XF v1. I don't see any difference other than engraved rotor.

Yeah. The leather strap it came with was pretty terrible. I wonder how much better the v2 one might be.

With a closed case back, v2 with engraved rotor is a waste

Don't stress yourself, buddy. The V doesn't always mean better. I believe the first XF iteration was a home run. Anything thereafter is a sales pitch.

Mine too! (ordered mine in late july):

As an aside, my rotor became loose and this was my first foray into watch maintenance. I was able to remove the case back by rotating a ball of masking tape on the case back. I removed the rotor, pat the rotor screw out of the caseback, and then just reassembled it. Not a bad repair for using only household tools
