Unfortunately After 5 months "the crown issue" happened to me also... Now i Will think about 9015 swap!

It seems that it's not a matter of "if" but "when" this will happen. But it's also not too big of a deal because the movement is cheap, easily found, and a novice watch maker can fix it.

My loved FXD Just returned at home .... Watchmaker fix It with a spare part of a Citizen... Total cost 60€, Will see if the problem will represent or hopefully not.

I have it on my wrist for more or less a week and it’s really a great rep.
The only annoying thing to me it’s the poor bezel action.

I wonder if this can be fixed somehow.. I'm really interested in this piece

My Bezel works properly, no issues.

I've had a M+F Alinghi FXD on order with CTime for over a month with no update on ETA. Anyone gotten them lately or seen QC's come through?

My bezel action is quite nice and smooth but the triangle does not line up well with the 12 o'clock marker. Will probably take it off and adjust somehow

I have the same one. Great watch. Surprisingly scratch resistant too. I wear it as my beater. Sailing, working on the boat, etc. I bash it into stuff constantly. It's got specks of paint on it from painting the hull lol. But it doesn't have a single scratch. That case material is magic.

How can you remove the bezel on these? I need to adjust the position of the bezel because it does not line up properly at 12 o'clock with the triangle.

Hi again, so i wanted to provide an update to my movement swap to the 9015 i had installed last April. It's been nine months and this watch is pretty much getting daily use. It's been bombproof and while it does run down for the odd week i give another watch some attention, the stem issue seems to be resolved. No issue with the stem on the 9015 at all. So all in all, the investment for the movement swap is paying off. Happy I did it.

Ok so after I pulled the crown out I was faced with a dilemma.... just get it fixed or since it's going to the watchmaker and has to be opened, swap in a high-beat movement?

I decided to swap in a high-beat. So sourced a Miyota 9015, and off everything went to my watchmaker. He's removed the date wheel and the date click on the crown (via keyless) and bam... perfect fit on hands case and stem/crown.

Was this a direct swap? I thought a spacer would be required due to thickness difference between the movements.

Why do you swap the miyota 8N for the 9015? Is it a better movement?

The OE movement is 3hz, the 9015 is 4hz, like the gen movement.

But the heights of both movements are different, true?
Miyota 8N: 5'55mm
Miyota 9015, 3'9mm.
Is it right? Is it possible direct swap?
