oh the rubber... doubt you can get one from a rep dealer, but you can always ask. Or pony up the big money and get a gen one from a Tudor dealer.

But really, I have had mine on a blue Erika's original Marine Nationale and I love it. Super comfortable and looks great.

This was a great read! Thanks all for the information!
A blue FXD is top of my list right now, hope they are still available from a TD next month.

I know this watch isn't everyone's favorite but damn, I wear this more than my VS sub. Something about titanium case fixed lugs high lume makes it the ultimate casual wear tool watch

I’ve got the black dial oncoming. Will put it on Erika’s original strap

Anyone knows if there is a 9015 brother with same measurements but without date?
If I will make a movement swap on mine, will be cool to have “no ghost” position as well…

I have it on my wrist for more or less a week and it’s really a great rep.
The only annoying thing to me it’s the poor bezel action.
Does it have the same bezel mechanism as the Sub?

I’m looking to get a rep FXD, probably in blue. It looks like the M+ Factory is a good version. I’ve read here about people swapping in the 9105 movement. Please could someone summarise what movement comes as default and what the downsides are? Thank you.

M+F is the ONLY factory that makes the FXD models.

The standard movement for the FXD is the Miyota 8215. It was chosen, because it's thin and fits into the equally thin Tudor FXD.
Very few people are crazy enough to swap the 8215 for an 9105. The primary difference between the two Miyota movements is that the 8215 is a 3 Hz movement, whereas the 9105 is a 4Hz movement, like the original Tudor.

In plain English, let's say you had sex with a watchmaker, and while you light up your cigarette in bed, she is staring at your diving watch which you refuse to take off, ever. While she watches the second hand sweep, she might notice that it is at a 21,600 beats per hour frequence, instead of a 28,800 bph.

In short . . . total bullsh*t.

However, once the 8215 fails, which is usually after 20 or 30 years, it makes sense to spend $15 more for the more premium 9105 replacement.

Call me crazy, but I believe I was the first one to do this. Reason? My crown pulled out and I had to send it to my watchmaker to repair and figured if he's gonna open it up, might as well kill two birds with one stone. The crown pulling out, I believe is a common issue with this movement in this application.

Movement cost me about $80-90, swap was another $100ish. Foolish? Perhaps. Satisfaction with this watch? Priceless.

I went to the watchmaker, i thought was an easy fix, but unfortunately the piece was broken inside... Now he Will try to pull It out and replace It with a Citizen, seams to be compatible.
