Well, wore for 2 days and bezel just popped off while walking down a hallway.. glad I didn't lose it.

Shouldn't there be some adhesive holding this down?

Okay good to know, I ordered a bezel press tool should be here tomorrow.

Maybe it just wasn't fully seated from the factory.

I don't recommand you to use a bezel press to put the insert into the bezel otherwise you risk to damage it, trust me I already made this experience !

I had this problem on my tudor black bay gmt and the tudor black bay heritage monochrome where the insert was not centered properly at 12 o clock and I had to take the bezel of an center the bezel insert.

On my older 2022 model of the tudor black bay gmt black dial from ZF, the bezel insert was hold in place by 3M sticker and it was easy to remove and fix it.

But on the recent batch of the tudor black bay gmt white and black dial and also on this new tudor black bay heritage monochrome the insert is held by a small lip on the outside which has to clips into the bezel.

Here a small drawing for the understanding :

If you now use the bezel press to clips the insert into place, you gonna bend this small lip and damage the aluminium insert ...

What I figured out to do is, you place the insert in the bezel on the left side and you hold it strong with your fingers to the outside, then with the other hand you tilt gently the insert to slide it into the bezel, then you can push the rest of the insert into place.

Here also a small drawings for the understanding :

I hope you get the point 😉

Ok after turning my fingers completely blue I decided to just pop off the entire bezel which made installing the insert "easier" still pretty difficult.

Probably wont be lined up perfectly center of a click now, but oh well... but at least I got it back on. now to press the click bezel back on lol

You need to place the white gasket into the bezel otherwise you won’t be able to put the bezel on the watch.

But pay attention which way the gasket is turned!

To perfectly align the insert with the 12 o clock indicator, you place the bezel without the insert and without the gasket back on the watch, turn it so that the teeth engage with the bezel.

If done you take a pen and mark the right position where the indicator is on the bezel.

Then you take the bezel of, pop the gasket the right way into the bezel and center the insert into the bezel so that the pip of the insert is aligned whit the marking and you’re done.

If you want a crispier click sound when turning the bezel, you can slightly stretch the 4 little spring under the metal plate. Just pay attention which way around you place the click piece because this gives you the direction where the bezel moves 😉
