Maybe its a diamond... or a crack-rock.

Same thing happened to me when I purchased a video camera at Best Buy. It had an old book in the box and a bunch of wires that went to who knows what. I opened the box in the parking lot, went right back into the store told them they could search my car but they stuck me with the deal... no help. They said I could have had a friend drive off with the camera  . I hate that store.

That's when you call the police. The shop has security cameras on the parking lot and they were just being bastards. Never let them get away with this kind of thing.

Funniest fucking thing I have read in a while,

WTF?

Was this from one of our dealers. If it was, then it is bad. If it wasnt then should we listen to someone complain, when we tell them to stay here and not venture out.

Charlie Brown - "I got a rock"......

Seriously, I'm sorry to hear this. Above posters are right, try to determine if the package was opened. Look carefully. If it hasn't, it was shipped that way.

I think Klink might have a valid point here. It could also very well be a renegade customs officer with a twisted sense of humor. I cannot believe any dealer would intentionally mail a rock for 800 bucks.

This is why I photograph the opening of every package from the far east.
That's a great idea pug.

Thanks for the tip. Think I'll vid tape it instead though. Can always pull still frames from it if I need to post pics rather than a larger video.

This calls for a private resolution between swemoose and the dealer (if the dealer is one of RWI dealers), with the mods as witness. This is unreal indeed, but I'm sorry to say on both sides.

swemoose, no offence but this is the most unreal report of a deal gone wrong. Before anyone gets accused, all facts really need to be questioned... including the fact that you really got a rock. Again, nothing personal, but your post count seems too little for someone who'd joined for almost half a year.

The reason for questioning your words is for the protection of our dealer's integrity and reputation. Suppose (just suppose, again, no offence) you got your watch yet report that you got a stone, it would be most unfair for him/her to send a replacement watch on top of the reputation damage done (even if it's due to a dishonest dropshipper).

Mods, I urge a private investigation between swemoose and the dealer (if it's one of our dealers). This can be a possible slander case. One's words against anothers.

Sorry, moose. It's just a matter too serious and do not think I side/believe anyone's side. Not unless all evidence/facts are being straightened.

He has a decent reputation on RWG, however.

obviously this will have to be worked out between the dealer and the customer but i do think the dealer needs to come here and explain why he is charging idealwatche prices. that is the craziest thing i have ever heard. don't tell me it is a swiss movement, i don't care. that made it a 300.00 watch. when the hbb fist came out the dealer cost was 250.00, you guys need to do the math and tell these dealers charging these astronomical prices to stick it up their ass.

This is a strange one. It would be nice to see some pics...but $800 is way over my rep budget and my guess is the dealer had nothing to do with it...I hope. :?

I can't believe that anyone would spend $800.00 on a rep. I bought a used Omega SMP from a local AD for $850.00, and it was in mint condition. An $800.00 rep is an outrage.

Just the same, I would like to know if the rock was hollow and if there was a watch in the middle. I understand that some dealers ship watches in toys to fool customs. Maybe that is what was going on here?
