Just silly but everyone’s got their price that they’d be happy with. I was waiting for them to come down to the 550-600 mark and bite then but not to be

They are, Hont, Lucy, and likely other TD’s can obtain 116610 & 126610 VSF models. I’ve seen QC photos. Legit VSF case & VS movements. But you’ll pay a premium
I would class a premium as 10% - these watches are pretty much double!
Well they are hard to find and when they are listed in the BST, its usually gone before its even posted. For those who aren't willing to waiting by the computer 24/7, it's their only option.

You can, go to M2M, but you might wait for a while and still pay in the ball park of 888.
Now Hont made 888 as TDs fair price, it means M2M price can be set below 888. My understanding correct?

No, profiting is not allowed here. I confirmed with Raddave couple of days ago with noob daytona. If you pay current market price from the TD then yes, you can list it here for same price. Just be prepare to provide the evidence when requested.
I wonder if an element of the increase in price (albeit a small element) is because of the "TD customs guarantee"... normally if you buy from a TD and the watch gets caught by customs, the TD will ship you a replacement at no charge. Obviously the price we pay at TDs has an "insurance" margin built into it such that on average (at the rate that reps get seized) the TD can afford to buy a replacement rep from the factory (at whatever the TD's cost is) and ship the replacement to you without going out of business. But in this case since there is no factory to order a replacement from, I suspect Hont would have to offer a refund if the watch was taken by customs. So maybe part of that $888 is margin for Hont to have to offer full refunds if those sweet VSFs get seized.
