Negative sir, the JVS is closer to VSF if you'd want to use VSF as a benchmark.
On top of what street fighter pointed out, i'd like to add that JVS has the wrong CG shaped too and its too gradual, as compared to the VSF steeper curves.
That being said, the JVS crystal itself is actually clearer than the VSF and the Cyclops does not have the distortion of the DW if you look at it at an angle.
However, just by looking at the crystal the JVS is not as magnifie. Both the AR(bleeds light and blue hues more) and Blackhole(not strong enough) on JVS is underwhelming when compared to a VSF xtal which is closer to gen.
I find the xtal the only big thing lacking on the JVS, do a mod with Deep Xtal and the JVS is really a great watch.
Thanks for the detailed response. My post came across more like a statement than a question. I am just trying to figure out the next best alternative and then being aware of the differences

The date is a full gen except for the movement (vr3135). I’m going to install the bracelet, I’m waiting for gen springbars.

True, but it's also what he's charging for these new-old-stock VSF subs. I'm sure because I bought two from him about 6 hours ago. Yes, they were expensive, but I see my growing VSF collection as an inflation hedge.
