Solid, I just learned this todayDate window edge distortion vs no edge distortion:
It doesnt look right. You want that reflection on the crystal with the clarity on the cyclops to look gen like. I think i prefer the older crystal
If it does, then it is wrong coz 116 shouldn't have any AR on the crystal

Underside AR does nothing to reduce glare, or reflections - the crystal will have exactly the same glare as an uncoated crystal. Exactly.
The difference it makes is to stop the hands, dial and markers reflecting back and fourth between the dial and the underside of the crystal. This can look messy in bright light.
It’s a subtle change. Nothing like a AR coating on the top.

I I have a gen Starbucks and a new VSF Submariner.You can not tell any difference except for the slightly clearer dial at the Starbucks...Now i have a question. Does it make sense to change the VSF watch glass for a gen glass and then the dial comes out even a bit clearer.

OK, thanks. That's about what I thought, because of the very bright light. However, I look at YouTube videos and there even on the street in the sun it seems darker)
how the crystal compared to GEN? im planning to buy gen crystal for 300 USD. do you think it would make any difference in the naked eye? i mean if you put them side by side, would there be a noticeable difference? thanks
The bezel of the VSF and the gen look the same. Only the color of the numbers of the VSF is slightly lighter. But only when both are next to each other it is noticeable. I have now installed a black bezel from cf in the vsf starbucks. I now see no difference in the numbers. It looks great.

I'm reading reddit along the way and noticed that many people there are changing movement vs3235 to VR3235, saying that vs movement is very bad. Who can say anything about this, while I have not yet made an order)
