So is the consensus that the 116601 VSF better then the 126601 version? Heard the Clean 116601LV is better than VSF, so is that the best rep sub at the moment stock?

They're both fantastic pieces, but yes, VSF is considered top of the pile by most for the 11 series, whereas the 12 series is more questionable.

S39 is not the latest batch but it already has update hands and crystal.
7GJ clasp code is also good.

I'm surprised to see how little discussion there is of these two VSF DIW clones, which were released recently. I think they look pretty incredible, and I'd be interested to hear whether these live up to the quality of their other subs from anyone who has one in hand. The case is also sandblasted rather than brushed.

This info is repeated again and again in the thread, this is old ground.. but here are some new pics (thanks kennyg).

You can see the definition of the mid step of the SEL on the gen watch is much nicer than the replica. This is 126. The 116 VSF are a little better/acceptable but the 126's were particularly bad which is why it's a flaw we talk about..

I actually noticed the "mid step" issue on my clasp (not being proud enough) just as it is on this SEL.. anyone else noticed this on theirs? Not a big deal I just don't like how it's been milled as if it's been polished out to death smoothed over

My Ginault OR2 clasp middle step is crisp.

I think he is struggling with understanding that there are 2 different VSF Submariners based on the 2 different genuine watches.

The 116610 was made between years 2013-2021. It's a 40mm watch with a bulky case.
The 126610 dates from 2021-present. It's a 41mm watch with slimmer lug profile and wider bracelet with a bigger clasp than it's predecessor.

Way to break it down to the crumbs! Now that's how to feed these nerds

Most people refer to them as the 11 series and 12 series.

11 series Subs are 40mm with 3135 movement.
12 series Subs are 41mm with 3235 movement.
Visually they're similar, but 12 series models have a rolex crown coronet between the words "swiss made" at 6 o'clock.

12 series also crosses over to other lines as well: DateJust, GMT, OP, etc... Look for the coronet between "swiss made."

DIW was released shortly before CNY/LNY, so it’s a bit of a quiet period for reviews (as most of the shipping is delayed).

Did you order one?
I’m sure the others will enjoy some actual photos/reviews of them in the wild.

Just wanted to say thanks all for this fantastic resource. I'm new to this whole rep game but have been a bit of a watch guy for years. These VSFs are stunning watches and reading everyone here's posts has been fascinating.

I was curious about sizing however if anyone had any comparison. I have relatively small wrists, which has turned me off a few watches in the past. Nothing crazy small but still, somewhere in the ballpark of just shy of 7". I've read the post 2020 12 ref no stuff fits smaller wrists better than the 11 due to the case being a bit smaller? Does anyone here have any experience with that in particular?

Just wondering if I need to bail on the no date VSF and start looking into a CF 124060 or something.

Look at some gen videos on YouTube and see how they wear on different wrist sizes

VSF has got Subs covered very well. I never liked the CF case shape/crown guards and the VS movement trumps the VR, there's no reason to choose CF over VSF imo. Each of my VSF subs has a gen like bezel action, gen like clasp and glidelock and when you screw/unscrew the crown it feels like gen too, buttery super smooth precision stuff. I had a ZZFv2S (which was the CF mk1) and while it appeared similar in pictures I could not say any of those things about it. CF do other reps you would definately want in your collection but Subs have been nailed by VSF in my opinion, a gen like build quality is there in hand, not just in the pics.
