1LQ CF bracelet on VSF 126610, here are my two cents when compared to my experience with 3VV and 1LQ VSF bracelets.

CF SEL mid step is taller and sharper than VSF, significantly more genlike. CF SEL recess profile is also better than VSF, VSF SEL flattens out as you travel ‘up’ the lug (towards the watch away from lug tip).

But SEL fitment on the CF bracelet is inferior to VSF, mine has side to side play while my VSF does not. There is also more play between the SEL male and first link on the CF than the VSF bracelet.

Clasp is built and finished better on the CF. VSF glidelock is significantly smoother with less play. CF fliplock locking action feels more solid and genlike but the fliplock itself moves freely while the VSF fliplock doesn’t.

Just like everything in the repworld - pick your poison. I’m sure there’s plenty of variation from bracelet to bracelet so YMMV too.

Damnnn everything sounded promising about the CF bracelet apart from the side to side play. Think I will defo order one and see how it turns out

After reading about the ‘inferior’ VSF SEL’s on my ‘126’ has now made me go from being absolutely in love with my franken 116610LN to loathing it, even though I cannot even see the problem with the SEL’s.

I think that knowing that others can see the issue with the SEL’s and on my watch makes me dislike it.

I don't get it, do you have a 126 or a 116? Why is the fact that 126 SELs are not perfect impacting your feeling about a 116??

I have a franken 116 and a gen 116 and I can't tell the difference

Can someone please post a photo of the 126 SEL against a gen, marked up with circles to pinpoint this difference?

Would an AD spot it if you walked in to a store?

Your watch is a 116610, the pictures posted are of 126610. Do you understand that these are 2 different models of watches? Therefore there is not point comparing them.

Your SELs are perfectly fine for a 116610

Just got ‘another’ VSF 126610LN and it has a clasp code of 1LQ and serial beginning 2R9, anyone seen these numbers before ?
I cannot see mention of them anywhere.

I think he is struggling with understanding that there are 2 different VSF Submariners based on the 2 different genuine watches.

The 116610 was made between years 2013-2021. It's a 40mm watch with a bulky case.
The 126610 dates from 2021-present. It's a 41mm watch with slimmer lug profile and wider bracelet with a bigger clasp than it's predecessor.

Most people refer to them as the 11 series and 12 series.

11 series Subs are 40mm with 3135 movement.
12 series Subs are 41mm with 3235 movement.
Visually they're similar, but 12 series models have a rolex crown coronet between the words "swiss made" at 6 o'clock.

12 series also crosses over to other lines as well: DateJust, GMT, OP, etc... Look for the coronet between "swiss made."
