I too am about to build a 16030, inspired by @Tony-Soprano 's build back on page 12 (gen silver dial w/gold sticks, gold hands and gen engine-turned bezel). I hope to be able to fit an acrylic xtal, for model accuracy.
Glad I was able to inspire you and good luck on the build. It’s a lovely watch without a doubt.

I had trouble fitting the acrylic for it it to be Gen spec and actually cracked 2 Clark acrylic crystals. Maybe you have better luck than me.

It may need some sanding down to fit the engine turned bezel. Found better results with sapphire crystal. Show us how it ends up!

What sapphire did you use? I've been trying to figure out if a DEEP crystal will work, but I think they only make them spec'd for modern Datejust which I'm pretty sure won't work with the vintage engine turned bezel. Do you know if the engine turned will work with the crystal included with Raffles' case?

@Karbon74 I don’t know if you or anyone else knows I’m having a heckuva time getting the raffles crown to lock into the tube without engaging the movement in other words… The movement is winding when I’m screwing in the crown. I’ve tried a genuine crown… three different raffles crowns that came with the cases. I’ve cut three different stems, but it has to be a certain length for the crown to even engage or lock into the tube. Is this happening with all raffles crowns that you all have done?
Am I doing something wrong. I didn’t have this problem with my last case, raffles Dial, 3135 movement along with a genuine 603 crown?
Could it be the tube is maybe different in that particular case and I should try to change it out with a different raffles tube?
Any suggestions would be helpful.

What happens with a fresh full length stem?
When you depress it, does the crown turn without the winding?

I am out of home now, but I had the same issue with a 1016 case with the thin crown.

It was solved by having a stem just 2 threads longer

Yes my caseback is 1016 as well.
Is there another case that he sends that the 3135 fits?
Yes when I use a full send pictured below, and I depressed the crown all the way it’s still winds.

It might be that the spring of the raffles crown does not engage fully
I agree, but I’ve tried three raffles crowns lol
What if I put a dab of WD-40 on the Crown where it engages?
I’m gonna send you a picture of what the genuine crown looks like on that tube… Let me know if you think there’s too much of a space or gap between the crown in the case.

Does your picture above have the stem attached to the crown? If so, I would try removing the stem/crown from the movement, then remove the stem from the crown and try and screw it down on the case without the stem - if you get the same gap bad crown/tube match-up; if the gap is gone, your stem is a tab bit too long.

You might try the thicker crown too

Yes it is. So if I remove stem and crown still has gap, the crown needs to be thicker as @Karbon74 said correct?
